Abbie: 6 Weeks!

Weight: We don’t go back to the pediatrician until Abbie’s 2 month appointment, but I think she’s close to 10 pounds.

Health: Good! Baby acne is starting to disappear, which I’m so happy about, and she definitely seems to be gaining more and more weight.

Sleep: She continues to do pretty well at night – usually a total of 8 hours broken up in either 6 and 2 or 5 and 3. We’re still working on the naps, but she’s starting to get better about it. She takes a few short naps and usually one long nap of about 2-3 hours each day.

Social: Abbie keeps meeting more and more people…and I really need to get better about taking pictures of that! She’s smiling more and more and follows me and Chris with her eyes when we’re in the room. She’s making more noises too, definitely starting to find her voice.

Diet: 95% breast milk – she only got two bottles of formula this week, and one was while I was at the dentist so it couldn’t be helped since I haven’t really been able to pump much.

Clothes: Pretty much all 0-3 month! My baby doesn’t fit in her newborn clothes anymore!

Baby Gear Love: Still mostly the same, but we did get her a mobile this past week and she loves to watch it, and loves the music! On the same note, at one point this week she was screaming and I started my playlist…instant calm and sleep! She’s already a country music fan!

Crying: Getting much better – only when she’s hungry, tired, or wet – not nearly as much fussing as she used to.

Likes: Playing! She’s getting more and more interactive and smiling back at me – I can’t get enough of playing with her!

Nicknames: Abbie, Abbiecakes, Abs, Lovebug, Squirt

Postpartum: Getting better and better – my hemorrhoid is almost healed, and my postpartum appointment went well – my tear is healed! Also, since I’m posting this late and already had my Weight Watchers meeting – I’ve only got 1.8 pounds of pregnancy weight left! After that, I’ve got quite a bit I want to lose anyway, but I’m so happy to almost be back at my start weight!

Milestones: Nothing major this week, but definitely more and more smiling!
