About Jess

My friend Erin did this post a while back, and I squirreled away the idea for another day.  I’m still trying to catch up from the holidays, so I thought I’d do it today, especially since there’s some new faces around here.  Enjoy!

I am excited for all the things 2014 will bring.  I’m hoping it’s going to be a great year for our family.

I keep silly sentimental things – pictures my sisters colored for me while I was in college, football tickets, concert ticket stubs, birthday cards, etc.  I’ll probably keep a few of Abbie’s (and any future baby’s) newborn things long after we stop having kids.  I’m such a sap.

I wish I could make everyone happy.  I know, it’s super corny.  Chris makes fun of me for it, but I truly just want to see people get along and be happy.  I HATE confrontation in my personal life.

I sing terribly, but all the time.  I wish I sounded better, but Abbie doesn’t seem to care…especially when I’m singing Dora the Explorer songs.

I dance in the car, all the time.  How else am I going to pass the time sitting in traffic?

I think about everything too much.  Overanalyzing is my thing, I guess.

I really wish I was more stylish, but I just don’t have the time/patience/money for that!

I need to start going to bed earlier, but I love having a little time to myself at night.  Mom problems.

I should be working out a few times a week.  Right now, I’m lucky if i get a walk in the day somewhere.

I can still remember exactly how my Grandpa’s stubble felt when he hugged me.  After all these years, I still miss him so much.

I like to toast marshmallows randomly.  This is where having a gas stove comes in handy.

I make pretty delicious desserts.  If I won the lottery, I’d probably open a bakery.

I always procrastinate.  Now sure why, since it eventually just makes things harder for myself!

I love my family more than anything and would do anything for them.  My friends are a close second.

Thanks again to Erin for the inspiration!

Love this! šŸ™‚ I keep sentimental stuff too! My mom made a box for me of my baby stuff, and I already have a box created for Weston and have been putting things in it as I go! I can’t wait to show him it someday!!

That’s so smart! I’ve kept a lot of Abbie’s things, but I really should put them in a box as I go! Great idea!

Thanks for the shout-out friend! šŸ˜‰ I totally save tons of things too like tickets, and cute cards from kids I babysat etc. I’m sure I’ll be the same way when I’ve got my own kiddos! PS- I love that you sing and dance all the time too, we’d get along so well!!!

Hence, why when you’re not working a billion hours a week anymore, you should make a trip to visit!
