Since we’re moving this month, Abbie’s about to have a different nursery, but it was really important to me to document and show all of you the room she came home to. Here’s Abbie’s first nursery!
I love this room, because it’s the first space we made for Abbie. It wasn’t completely finished when we found out we were moving – the canvas and the A were not hung up yet, so we didn’t hang them – we will after the move. I love everything I picked out for it and Abbie knows she’s in her room when we bring her in there – she gets really excited and happy. I know she’ll probably do that in the new place too, but I’ll miss that about her room.
The details:
Crib: Babyletto Modo
Dresser: Ikea Malm
Bookshelf: Ikea Billy
Rocker: Babyletto Madison
Second Bookshelf: A gift from my friend Nina at my baby shower – painted in Virginia Tech (orange and maroon) and George Mason (green and gold) colors. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gift, and I love it in her room.
Bedding and Changing Pad Cover: Land of Nod
Mobile: Fisher-Price Rainforest Peek-A-Boo Leaves Mobile
Artwork: Butterflies and Cala Lilly – Ikea. Others from Etsy – shops are here and here.
Yellow Blanket: Handmade by my Aunt Sharon
Canvas: Got a Groupon and ordered from CanvasPeople. Photo by Mathy Shoots People
Initial Letter: Etsy
Piggy Bank: Painted by my mom for me when I was little – now it’s Abbie’s!
I’m looking forward to creating a new space for Abbie in the new place, especially since we can paint! What are your thoughts on our little girl’s nursery?
