Happy Stitch Fix day! I don’t mean to keep sharing these so late in the month… but, life. I’m ready to share my August fix and would love your opinions on what I got!

If you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix, it’s a personal styling service. I’ve been getting fixes for over 3 years now and it’s my favorite way to shop! First, you fill out a style profile and set up a Pinterest board of what you love, then your stylist (hi, Darla!) picks out 5 items for you and ships them straight to your door to try on in the comfort of your own home. Each box is $20 and includes shipping both ways, plus that $20 gets applied to anything you buy! They even give you 25% off if you buy everything – which I’ve only done once. So worth it, in my opinion, to not have to go out shopping for clothes!

For this fix, I asked Darla for items for our NY trip (and actually didn’t end up taking any of these pieces with me on the trip). Here’s to my last summer box!

Collective Concepts Katelynn Dress – XL – $78

The print on this dress was so pretty, and I feel like the cut was flattering. However, it was entirely too snug up top. I was completely smushed and there was no way I could keep it. I also thought it was a tad overpriced for the material it’s made of. Verdict: Returned.

Daniel Rainn Caleena Pleated Shoulder Crochet Detail Knit Top – XL – $58

The fit on this was really nice and the top was SO soft, but the way the print is, it ended putting a horizontal line both above and below my bustline – not flattering at all. I’m pretty sure my bustline is large enough without additional lines to point it out. Verdict: Returned.

Brixon Ivy Jinni Scallop Detail Blouse – XL – $58

This top is so pretty! I loved the scallop detail and thought it was priced really well for the quality – it’s a nice thick material. However, there’s a sheer panel below the scallops that completely showed my bra, and the armholes didn’t line up right on me – just hit in a weird place. Verdict: Returned.

Lila Ryan Dorianna Skinny Jean – 12 – $98

I really liked these jeans – they were so comfortable and really soft. I almost kept them, but in the end, I didn’t think I’d wear them enough to warrant the price tag – I do think they were a little overpriced. I did love the fun color though! Verdict: Returned.

Oh, this dress. I really liked it straight out of the box. Chris really liked it. But looking at the photos of me in it… I just didn’t love it. I really debated on this dress, but the way the top is cut it just accentuated my bust and I don’t need that to be accentuated. It’s literally all I see when I look at these photos. The fabric also had a snag in it, right on the front. Had I been in love with this dress I would’ve asked for an exchange, but since I wasn’t… back it went. Verdict: Returned.

So if you’re keeping track… I sent everything back. It’s only the second or third time I’ve done that, but I really felt there was nothing I absolutely loved, so I didn’t want to keep a piece I felt lukewarm about. I still loved this box and, as always, the experience. My next box arrives next week and I requested some things to transition to fall… so I can’t wait to see what’s in that box!

If you’d like to sign up for your own fixes, you can do that here!

What do you think of my decision to send it all back?
