A little April recap. 💕

Girl Scout High Adventure Day was a big success! W

Girl Scout High Adventure Day was a big success! We hiked, learned to use a slingshot, ate s’mores, and did nature arts and crafts. 🍃 It was so nice to spend the day with my littlest girl. ❤️

One of my favorite mother-daughter days for sure.

I had a whole post in my head today but it doesn’t feel right to post. Instead, here’s a photo of my girls walking home from school. From what should be a safe place but increasingly isn’t. I want so much more for our babies. 💔

I don’t remember a time of my life when I didn’t know about the Holocaust. My grandparents were both survivors - immigrants to the United States, where they worked hard to build a life despite the horrors of their past. This, I’ve found, is the best way to honor those we lost. We are still living our lives. We are still celebrating holidays and milestones, growing our families, and moving forward. My grandparents had two children, eight grandchildren, and so far two great grandchildren. I remember them every day.

I tell their stories to my daughters, and I know that they will one day pass them on to their families. We hold strength in those stories, in remembrance of our families and what happens when hate goes unchecked.
