Stitch Fix: October 2017

The day I get my Stitch Fix box continues to be one of my favorite days of the month. I actually got this fix way back at the beginning of the month, and I’m excited to share October’s fix with you today!

If you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix, it’s a personal styling service. I’ve been getting fixes for over 3 years now and it’s my favorite way to shop! First, you fill out a style profile and set up a Pinterest board of what you love, then your stylist (hi, Darla!) picks out 5 items for you and ships them straight to your door to try on in the comfort of your own home. Each box is $20 and includes shipping both ways, plus that $20 gets applied to anything you buy! They even give you 25% off if you buy everything – which I’ve only done once. So worth it, in my opinion, to not have to go out shopping for clothes!

For this fix, I asked Darla for dress options for our family photos, and she delivered! Here’s what was in my fix!

Skies Are Blue Kimberlee Lattice Detail Dress – XLP – $68

Let’s start with the sad news – this dress what just way too small and I couldn’t even get it on. (Well, I did, but I just barely got it off – yikes). So cute, but just too snug – definitely runs small. It was too bad because I loved the color and detail! Verdict: Returned.

Beauport Kara Velvet Dress – XL – $78

Such a cute dress, and so on trend. I never thought velvet would come back! This one I debated for a long time. I love the comfy fit and the velvet details, but in the end, it was just too pricey for me to keep. I may have kept it at a lower price point. Verdict: Returned.

Loveappella Hadlee Knit Dress – XL – $64

By now, Darla knows I’m a sucker for anything from Loveappella. It’s seriously my favorite brand that Stitch Fix carries! As soon as I put this on, I knew I’d be keeping it. One of my favorite brands, comfy, cute and works in many seasons. LOVE it! Verdict: Kept!

Skies Are Blue Stacey Knit Dress – XL – $64

This dress screams fall and it ended up being the winner for our family photos! I love the bell sleeves, and I love that I’ll also be able to wear this to work all fall and winter. Verdict: Kept!

Reye Jersey Faux Wrap Dress – XLP – $88

Honestly, I just didn’t think there was anything special about this dress – it just felt like dresses I already own and love, and the price was too high for it. It did fit well though! Verdict: Returned.

That’s a wrap on October’s fix! Did I make the right choices?
