Our Jellystone Getaway

Summer is here, and with that comes pool time, way more time outside, and vacations. Our lives are incredibly busy – with two working parents and two small kids, we’re always running doing something! Sometimes you just need to get a way from it all, and taking a long weekend away was just exactly what we needed. Sometimes there are places right to get away right under your nose.

Last weekend, we headed to Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp and Resort out in Luray, Virginia – only about an hour and a half away from us. Now, I’m not usually a camping person – but this was beyond perfect. The camp is settled in the mountains and close to both Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. The setting is gorgeous, and there is so much to do at the part itself.

Taste of Virginia Fun at Kings Dominion

Summer is on its way, and with it comes all the things we’ve been missing out with the cold – warmer temperatures, pools, and amusement parks. The bigger she gets, the more fun we have doing family outings.

To my Husband, Before we Become a Family of Four

Late pregnancy is no picnic. For the most part, I’ve been fairly active and healthy this pregnancy. I’ve been fortunate to not have complications and to be able to go about my normal life and routines. That doesn’t mean it’s been easy, and it’s been a challenge for our family, and my husband especially, as […]

Fall, Fun, and Pumpkins

For the past few years, I’ve wanted to take Abbie to the pumpkin patch, but it never quite worked out. I also didn’t think she’d get a ton out of it, so it wasn’t tops on my list to go, but this year, we finally went out for some fall fun. (I also want to […]
