I love spring weekends, don’t you? Of course, I’d like them better if they were longer, but I’m sure we all feel that way! Here’s what we were up to all weekend…
Morning swim lessons after Weight Watchers. Abbie did great this week – kicking away, and even got dunked underwater! She didn’t even really cry about it – my girl is getting so grown up! We don’t have lessons this coming weekend because of Memorial Day, but that means our pool’s opening….so I’m ok with that!
I went to my friend Megan’s baby shower in the afternoon. She’s due in July, and it was so great to see her. It was a beautiful shower and I definitely used some of my activity points for the food….there were some pretty delicious lemon bars I HAD to have.
Abbie just ADORES being outside, and I hope she stays that way (I hated being outside as a kid). After I got home from the shower, I gave Chris a break by playing outside with Abbie…and showing off the flowers.
Saturday night Chris finally finished putting together Abbie’s cozy coupe (it was a birthday present back in December), so it was waiting for her in the living room when I brought her down Sunday morning. She loved it and walked it around the living room all morning.
Abbie and I then headed out for her playdate at Clemyjontri Park. She loved it, but as typical with toddlers, got stuck on one playset and we of course couldn’t get the girls to sit together long enough for a photo. It’s an awesome park (there’s even a carousel), but it was so crowded – we’ll definitely be back, hopefully at a less busy time!
Finally, Abbie got to play with her Uncle Greg in the afternoon. He’s such a natural with her and it was great to see him playing with her.
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Stay tuned for another post later today…I’ve joined in on TWO pretty great giveaways, but I thought this post was full enough!

Looks like a great weekend! I always meant to get Chickie one of those cars and never did. Seeing how much Abbie enjoys it makes me regret that decision – so cute!!
She loves it! I would recommend buying it used if you can though – Chris said it was a PAIN to put together!
What a fun weekend! Mac is loving his swim lessons too. We head to the beach next week, so I’m hoping to put them to good use! I hope Abbie loves her Cozy Coupe. Mac is a huge fan of his. I finally just took the bottom out so he could push it around himself but he won’t do it. He keeps asking for the “floor” back.
She does love it so far…that’s too funny about the “floor.” We didn’t even bother putting it in!
Looks like such a fun weekend! 🙂 Weston loves being outside too!
I’m so glad she does – so different from me as a kid!
