Abbie: 11 Months

Weight:  About 22-24 pounds.  No doctor’s appointment until next month.

Health:  All good.

Sleep:  Awesome!  Sleeping from about 8:15pm to 7am.  Sometimes she wakes and needs her pacifier, but goes right back to sleep.  Takes two naps at daycare, and usually does at home too!

Social:  Trying to say SO many things.  Mama is her favorite word (can’t say I’m upset about that) and she says it ALL the time.  Dada, Ca (trying to say cat), ma (trying to say map…from Dora).  She babbles CONSTANTLY.  Can’t say I’m surprised, with as much as Chris and I talk…

Diet:  3-4 7 ounce bottles of formula a day, plus breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.  Drinking water from her sippy cup like a champ!

Clothes:  Growing out of the 12 month clothes and into the 18 month!  She’s wearing both right now.

Baby Gear Love:  Just toys…and chairs she can push around the kitchen.  Nothing in particular, although we are holding off on getting her new things until her birthday and the holidays next month.  She LOVES taking the sink out of her Dora kitchen…apparently the sink doesn’t belong in the kitchen?

Crying:  Girlfriend has a temper sometimes.  Take something away and she gets mad and cries.  She’s also starting to hate the word “no”…I fear we have a strong-willed little girl on our hands.

Likes:  Dora the Explorer, drinking water, crunchies, playing in the kitchen cabinets, mommy and daddy chasing her around the coffee table, bathtime, her lovey, her pacifier (just became attached again recently – we had to send one to daycare for the first time in months), petting (ok, hitting) the cats, giving us open mouth kisses (which are really like her licking your face…but it’s cute).

Nicknames: Abs, Bug, Buggie Bug

Postpartum:  Feeling good!  I had my annual appointment this month and doc says everything looks great.  I think it’s safe to retire this category.

Milestones:  Abbie finally has 2 Teeth!  She’s also walking 30+ steps at a time and clapping her hands.

Little Bug,

I can’t believe that in just one month we’ll be celebrating your first birthday.  At this point last year, we were waiting to meet you (and you took your sweet time on that one).  I’m so excited for the last of your “first” holidays this month.  It’s amazing to watch you learn so much so quickly.  You’re so much fun nowadays, and all I want to do when I get home from work is play with you!  You’re the light of my life, sweet girl.  Daddy and I love you so much!

Love,
Mama <>br/>
