Weight: 23-24 pounds
Health: Pretty good, just some super-dry skin. I’m going to have to watch her skin…it’s so much more sensitive than mine!
Sleep: Sleeps through the night, occasionally needing her pacifier. She takes a morning nap and an afternoon nap, for about 3 hours total.
Social: Loves to be around people, loves petting the cats, playing with her daycare friends, and hamming it up for grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Silly girl.
Diet: 3 bottles of whole milk a day, all before naps or bed, of about 7 ounces each. She also has breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Favorites are mandarin oranges, beans, grapes, peanut butter crackers, and pasta. She also loves stealing mommy’s cookies…
Clothes: Wearing all 18 month clothes. I may need to get her some 24 month leggings soon – her cloth diapers make some of her 18 month ones a little short!
Baby Gear Love: Loves to play with her princess horses she got for Christmas, her stroller, and of course empty boxes and food containers…she’s been known to carry around empty gallon milk jugs.
Crying: Lord help you if she doesn’t get her way. Crying fit. I’m hoping she grows out of it soon…but not pushing my luck.
Likes: Turning the lights on and off, her lovey, her nunnie, the cats, running around the kitchen, playing on the bed.
Nicknames: Abs, Bug, Buggie Bug, Baby Bug
Milestones: SIX Teeth (up from 3 last month), Trying to walk up and down the stairs holding our hands, can get off the couch and (almost) on it by herself, starting to use a fork!
Buggie Bug –
You just keep changing on me. Your first birthday was only a month ago, and you’re already racing toward your next one. You are so many things – a daredevil, our lovebug, a brat (sometimes), headstrong, determined, and SO independent. We already have our hands full with you and I know you’re going to give us even more to handle as you grow. Try to go easy on the temper tantrums, ok? Sometimes its hard for mommy to hold in her laughter when you’re crying over something silly.
Love you so much,
Mommy

I love these updates. I just did Mac’s update today too. I can’t believe how big our babies are growing and how fast it’s all going. These posts make me so nostalgic and hormonal. 🙂
What a sweet girl!!!! Great update!

Kenley’s skin was so dry at the beginning of winter! We started to give her a bath every other night instead of every night and put a humidifier in her room…the combo worked wonders for her poor little skin. 🙂
So amazing!! She is growing up into such a little lady! You are very lucky and blessed…she is such a cutie!
Aw Happy 13 months little lady!! 🙂
ahh, I miss that wonderful morning nap. So nice to have the two breaks on the weekends 🙂
milk jug obsession here too – in fact, I saved a 4-5 and have them on the bottom two shelves of the door so Z knows he can grab those and bring them around, giving “drinks” to his stuffed animals/mom/dad. fun to watch!
Oh man, she’s growing up so fast! Julia started getting really bad dry skin, so we put a humidifier in her room and starting putting aquaphor on her every night after her bath, and it’s helped tremendously!
I know, it’s so CRAZY. Make me want another…but maybe not quite yet!
We do, but I always forget to clean it and fill it except when she’s sick. I wish they were easier to clean!
You’re the second person to say humidifier! I may just need to get better about it. We actually switched from Aveeno lotion to the cream recently and that’s helped A LOT with her skin.
Thank you! You’ll be there before you know it!
Thank you thank you!
I know, I’m so scared for when her morning nap disappears! How old was Z when he dropped it?
Humidifier for the win, apparently! You’re person number 3!
I think it was around 14 months. He started quietly playing in his crib for the afternoon nap instead of falling asleep. THen after he got bored he would whine until we went and got him. I think he wouldve happily kept the morning nap but we wanted him on the more-typical schedule of afternoon nap, so we kept him awake for the mornings until he got used to just the one nap. It was hard at first – he would get really cranky around 10am but we would do “quiet time” and cuddle, and a small snack to get him over the hump.
