This past Sunday, Abbie got to meet Santa! My mom has volunteered at a local fire department auxiliary basically since we moved to Virginia, and they have a Christmas party each year for the kids and grandkids of the volunteers. Every child under 12 gets a gift from Santa…and this year was Abbie’s first party! We haven’t had a reason to go to the party since my youngest sister turned 12, but I was excited to go with Abbie this year – much better to meet Santa there rather than in line at the mall!
Each year, Santa arrives in the fire truck…obviously, since we were the fire station!
Abbie waited patiently with Chris to meet Santa…of course, it helped that she was munching on a cookie!
Soon it was her turn!
Not quite sure about this guy…
Oh wait, I get a present?!?
Then I guess this guy’s pretty cool!
Aunt Andrea helped her open her present…
She LOVED her present and had a great time pushing her baby around in the stroller. Since she got a stroller from Aunt Erica and Uncle Doug at her birthday party, we left this one at my parents’ for her to play with there.
I wasn’t sure exactly how the day would go, but knowing our outgoing little girl, she did great – no tears at all! How was your little one’s first experience with Santa?

So cute! Glad it went well! We haven’t bothered to meet santa yet because Harper is only 10 months. Maybe next year!

She’s adorable! Happy to see that meeting Santa went well. Our little one Annika (8 months old) did way better with Santa this year than Nora (our 2.5 year old) did lol. Nora cried and Annika smiled and played with his beard lol.
Wow! She did really great! I’m impressed that she didn’t scream or cry. Please teach us your tricks!
I love that candy cane dress! So adorable! She did awesome meeting santa! I agree a much better way than at the mall! 🙂
SO CUTE!!
AH, too cute! and the baby doll…oh man, I died. That’s awesome that she wore the headband for so long. I’m hoping I can start sneaking them back on Julia. She’ll wear hers for maybe three seconds, tops, now.
Aww how cute she is in that outfit!
We didn’t do the pumpkin patch for the same reason. Next year she’ll love it!
Makes sense – Annika probably doesn’t know to be afraid yet!
Haha, I don’t have any! She’s just loves people a little too much!
It really was so much better – no lines, plus she got a present!
Thanks hon!
I know! I had NO idea what they were getting her, and was so excited to see the doll! I was so surprised the headband stayed on…I guess the plus of other things going on around her??
Thank you!
