Morning everyone! I hope you all had an amazing holiday weekend – we definitely did and I didn’t want it to end. It was probably one of the best 4 day weekends ever. I hope you’re ready for picture overload!
Thanksgiving morning we settled in to watch the parade, and Abbie even paid a little bit of attention. Naturally, to Santa. I think she already knows he’s the guy who brings the presents. We left at the end of the parade to pick up Chris’ brother Greg (who woke up minutes before we got there – oh, the single life), and headed to my parents’ house.

I’ve known this girl since she was Abbie’s age. Now she’s 18. Crazy. |
We do Thanksgiving every year with my mom’s friend Martha and her family, and I love it. Abbie had so many people around to celebrate her first Thanksgiving!

Abbie’s Thanksgiving dinner! |
Since Abbie only got one nap, she was pretty tuckered out by the time we left…I swear, there’s something magical about grandpas. Sweetest pictures ever.
Friday was almost as exciting – my friend Amy came by with her son Jack, who was born at the end of October. Abbie was pretty nice to him…until she eventually poked him in the eye. This kid!

“Um, so you said I have to be friends with this guy…how do I turn off the crying? I’m not so sure about this, Mom…” |

“Here, I’ll show you how to play with this.” |
Saturday Abbie helped me clean the pantry…I think she wanted to give the cats some treats…
And we picked up my in-laws from the airport – they’re here from Rome for a week and will be able to be at Abbie’s birthday party this coming weekend! We spent Saturday and most of Sunday with them, and I got this sweet picture of Abbie and Grandpa Beer.
I told you this would be picture overload, didn’t I? I loved my time off, but it feels good to be back in the swing of things. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
