You know those weird little quirks you grow up with that make you who you are? Well, I’ve got a little story for you today. When I was a kid, my mom was always trying to save money. I’m the oldest of four children, and she bought a lot of things in the generic version, with just a few things she was always brand loyal on. One of those things is something I still purchase regularly to this day – Dawn dish soap.

I think we can all agree as moms that sleep is a hot commodity, right? I for one never seem to get enough of it. I could say it’s the kids, but honestly? My girls both sleep through the night (watch, now they’ll randomly start waking up again now that I’ve said that). Abbie’s Big Girl Room

Over the summer, I completed a big project – Abbie’s new big girl room. We opted to move Abbie into what used to be our guest bedroom ahead of her baby sister’s arrival. Not only was it easier, furniture wise, and but we wanted to make a big deal out of Abbie getting her new room in hopes she wouldn’t feel like baby sister was taking hers away. Planning Abbie’s Big Girl Room

Now that baby girl number two is well on her way, we’ve started preparing for Abbie’s big girl room. I have to admit – I’m more excited for this than I was for her nursery. This is the room she’ll have when she starts school, that she may have her very first sleepovers in, that she’ll remember as her childhood bedroom.
