It’s Friday – time to link up with Darci, April, Christina and Natasha! It’s going to be a busy weekend since Abbie’s first birthday party is on Sunday, so I thought I’d share 5 things I’m excited about for her party!
{ONE}
A hot cocoa bar. I’m SO happy about this. I’ve borrowed a Keurig from a friend at work, so we’ll have the k-cups ready, along with toppings like marshmallows, caramels, whipped cream, and cinnamon sticks. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
{TWO}
Her smash cake. I’m baking a 6 inch cake and planning to ice it with lavender buttercream, then decorate with snowflakes cut out of fondant…and maybe a little shimmer in there. Her cupcakes will match and have snowflake sprinkles!
{THREE}
Snowflakes everywhere. Luckily, making snowflakes is cheap and easy, so we’ll be able to put them all over the walls to bring the theme in. I also grabbed snowflake cups, napkins, and plates…not going overboard at all, huh?
{FOUR}
Seeing so many of our family and friends in one place, to celebrate our little girl. She really is so loved and I’m so thankful to have so many people in our lives that care about her…and I even cut the guest list down! I swear, I think I should’ve spent less on my wedding so I could spend more on Abbie’s birthday!
{FIVE}
I’m pretty excited to watch Abbie open presents…and tear up paper. Knowing my daughter, she’ll probably be more enthralled with the box than the presents! After all, this is a kid that plays with the dishwasher…
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Make sure you follow along with Abbie’s party at #abbieturnsone!

Happy birthday to Abbie!
I wish Bridget would pick an easy theme like snowflakes….for her January birthday pool party, the child has decided her theme will be flip flops….would have been great to know that during the summer!! 🙂
YAYYY! I cannot wait to hear all about it and see a million snowflake-filled pictures! 🙂
