For the past few weeks, we’ve been dealing with Abbie getting up in the middle of the night again – exactly 3 hours after she goes down for the night. EVERY night.
Let me rewind. Right before she turned 6 months old, Abbie started sleeping through the night. It was glorious – I felt like a human again! After about 2 weeks of that, she started waking up. We were dealing with a pretty bad diaper rash and I had the beginnings of my sinus and ear infections (which I thought was a cold), so I figured it was just a phase. Then I started to notice the pattern – 3 hours after bedtime, every night.
Last night was one of the worst – she was up for almost 4 hours. Needless to say, today’s going to be a rough day for me and Chris.
So here’s where I need your help, moms – any ideas? We’ve tried rocking her, giving a bottle, changing her diaper, letting her cry…and last night Chris flipped her on her stomach, which is what finally got her to sleep…which I know we shouldn’t be doing and it makes me nervous, since she’s still not a good roller. I’m starting to lose my mind from lack of sleep.
Anyone else gone through this? Let me know if you have ideas – I’ll try almost anything at this point to get some sleep!

Noah’s gone through several phases where he won’t sleep. I try to stick with our routine as much as we can and really try to let him CIO even for just 5-10 minutes if it’s the middle of the night. That’s what works for us but if her sleeping on her stomach works -GO FOR IT! Seriously. She’s at the age she can probably move her head/roll just fine if she gets a little muffled.
She’ll be fine. Promise 😉
Hang in there mama!!
oh wow…there isn’t much i can say here because my son is 10 months and will only sleep through the night if he is sleeping with us. she will hopefully find her own rhythm. good luck!
