While I haven’t done a Stitch Fix review in ages, but that doesn’t mean I stopped getting them – I actually got them through most of my pregnancy! I stopped them in late August in anticipation of the end of my pregnancy, but I can honestly say that my maternity clothes from Stitch Fix were some of my favorites.
Now that Ella’s here, I got my first postpartum fix. I don’t know how Stitch Fix pulls off the magic they do with the clothes they send, but I’m so glad I’m getting boxes again in this weird postpartum stage I’m in! In fact, I am hoping for a few Stitch Fix gift cards for the holidays so I can budget for a few extra fixes! Anyway, on to what I got in this fix!
41 Hawthorn Kassidy Faux Wrap Dress – XL – $68
I liked this dress and really liked the way it fit. I really felt good in it, but I also really felt this was much more of a summer dress since it was sleeveless and much more of a summer color. I also liked that with a sweater it would hide my postpartum belly, but it didn’t make sense for me to keep something sleeveless going into the cold winter months. Verdict: Returned.
Liverpool Elizabeth Super Skinny Jean – 12 – $78
These jeans are absolutely perfect. Liverpool is one of my favorite brands, so I was excited to get these. The best thing about these jeans is the elastic waistband. Since they have no button or zipper they’re perfect for my weird postpartum body and help me hold everything in right now. Verdict: Kept!
Retrod Alanis Off The Shoulder Pullover – XL – $74
This sweater was an interesting concept, but just not for me. I liked the color of this sweater, but that was about it – the off the shoulder thing just isn’t me, and I thought the sweater was a little bit scratchy. Plus, I really felt at $74 it was WAY overpriced. Verdict: Returned.
41 Hawthorn Montgomery Cross-Front Knit Top – XL – $48
I actually really liked this top. The print is very me, and this would be a great top for nursing, but sleeveless tops just don’t make sense right now for me – winter is cold in Virginia! I felt the price point was right on it though, and it was good quality for the cost. Verdict: Returned.
41 Hawthorn Henri Surplice Ruche Sides Knit Top – XL – $64
This was the piece I had the hardest time deciding on in this fix. I loved how warm and comfortable this top was, and the quality was pretty good for the price – it was definitely thick and would hold up to wear. In the end, there was just something weird in the way it fit me in front around the stomach area, and I opted to send it back. Verdict: Returned.
I was really happy with this fix – it was a great way to start out postpartum, and I’m so, so happy with the jeans I kept and as long as I get one good piece, it’s a successful fix! Those jeans are great! I received a pair of Liverpool shortly after having Julia and they were amazing! I loved that purple sweater, too!
