Abbie: 10 Months!

Weight:  I think between 20 and 21 pounds.

Health:  All good.

Sleep:  Amazing.  Abbie goes down by about 8:15 and sleep through until 6:30 or so.  She takes two naps during the day, usually a morning one of an hour and an afternoon one that ranges from an hour to two and a half hours.

Social:  Da-da, Mama, Ba-ba…more sounds every day from this little one.

Diet:  Drinking 2-3 8 ounce bottles of formula during the day, plus her nightly bottle (usually 8 ounces).  Breakfast at home before daycare varies depending on what’s around.  Popular breakfast choices are cheerios, half a banana, peach slices, scrambled eggs, and leftover pancakes.  I started sending a bento box for lunch now, so she usually has two types of fruit and two little cups of leftovers (for example, tomorrow she has pancakes and pizza) in addition to her yogurt, which she still adores and gobbles up every day.  Dinner is some of whatever we’re having, plus a pouch or two.

Clothes:  12 month, and I’ve stocked up on 18 month stuff so it’s ready to go!

Baby Gear Love:  Nothing new here.  She’s definitely moving away from the toys that keep her stationary and wants to move ALL the time.

Crying:  Just when she falls and bumps herself or we take something away.  Sometimes she’s a little grabby.

Likes:  Standing, high fives, chasing, the cats, rides in her new wagon, Dora the Explorer everything.

Nicknames: Abs, Bug, Buggie Bug

Postpartum:  Pretty good – still working on the weight.

Milestones:  So many!  Saying Mama, standing unassisted for a few seconds, pushing furniture around the house, went to her first wedding, and FINALLY cut a tooth!  Abbie has one bottom tooth that’s cut through the gums.  It hasn’t pushed up yet, but it’s there!

My little girl –

You are so energetic and determined now – it’s hard to keep up with you!  I’m in disbelief that you’re already ten months old and it’s time to start planning your very first birthday party.  You’ve done so much this month, and I know you’ll be walking soon – I’m not sure I’m ready!  You truly are highlight of my day and I love making you laugh.  When you said Mama, I almost started crying.  Daddy and I love you so much!

Love, Momma

  1. It sounds like Kenley & Abbie are pretty similar which means they’d be buddies for sure, duh. 🙂
