5 Guilt-Free Summer Sweets

Well, there’s no more doubt that summer is on it’s way. It’s been in the 80s here lately, with the 90s on the horizon. As much as I would like spring to go on forever, it’s almost summer. And summer means hot weather… and less clothes. That my friends, makes the goal of watching what I’m eating so much more important. The clothes I’m wearing? I want to look good in them, and that means smart snacking.

5 Guilt-Free Sweet Snacks

My problem? I also have a sweet tooth. A MAJOR sweet tooth. I always have and I think I always will. If you’re like me, you probably look for sweet, guilt-free snacks in the summer… and I’ve got you covered. Below are five of my favorites!

Frozen Grapes. This is a fabulous one for summer, since it’s juicy, refreshing, and requires almost no preparation. Just wash your grapes, put them in a freezer bag, and throw the bag in the freezer. That’s it! Bright, refreshing, and good for you!

Grapes

Yogurt Pops. Another freezer favorite – just take your favorite yogurt, some berries or other fruit, blend them together, and pour in popsicle molds. Freeze until solid and enjoy! This is also a great way to sneak in some veggies too!

Kozy Shack® Simply Well Pudding. You guys, this is the stuff. I always loved pudding as a kid and made it often with my mom. I loved chocolate as a kid, but my heart now belongs to tapioca. Oh goodness. This is zero prep, delicious, and only 90 calories. I love to keep this on hand for when I need something sweet and creamy, and it’s pretty common for me to top this with things like mini chocolate chips, fruit, or a little cinnamon. You have GOT to try this pudding… and you just may have a chance at the bottom of this post!

Kozy Shack®

Cinnamon Sugar Chickpeas. These require a little prep, but keep for a long time. Grab a can of chickpeas and drain, rinse, and dry them well. Toss with cinnamon and sugar (or whatever sweetener you like) and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring them around halfway through. Once they’re cool, you have a crunchy, sweet snack! Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Microwave “Baked” Apples. Yes, it’s summer so you usually want something cold, but there’s something about a baked apple. Just core it, add your choice of toppings (peanut butter and chocolate chips are always a good choice), and microwave for 3-4 minutes. It feels indulgent even though it’s an apple!

Guilt Free Snacks

So, back to the Kozy Shack® Simply Well pudding. I REALLY think you guys should try it. Honestly, I know you guys can see this is sponsored… but I would buy the pudding anyway. It’s that good. 1. I love frozen grapes. This sounds weird, but it’s really good. Squeeze lime juice over your grapes and sprinkle with sea salt before freezing. Trust me:)

  2. Such great options! I love a microwave “baked” apple — I drizzle mine with some coconut oil, cinnamon, and nutmeg. YUM. Also, great idea with the chickpeas. I will have to try those!

  3. I’m so glad you included frozen grapes–they’re one of my favorite summer snacks! I would have never though of the sweet chickpeas I must try! Thanks!

    1. That’s one I haven’t tried yet, but if it’s anything like tapioca….YUM.

  4. I love frozen grapes! SO good for kid’s sporting events too! I tried to click on the link but my computer is having a hard time loading the page… I’ll try again later but pudding of any kind sounds amazing right now. 🙂
