Well, it’s Monday morning again, and I’m just catching my breath from the past few days.
Early Thursday morning, I left for my first plane trip away from Abbie, to Indianapolis for the Alpha Gamma Delta Leadership Conference. I was nervous. I was excited. I was sad to leave my girl… but I had a great time, learned so much, and am so glad I went. I fell even more in love with Alpha Gamma Delta and the friendships and sisterhood I get from it.

Since I became a sister of Alpha Gamma Delta as a senior at Virginia Tech (and was initiated about 2 weeks before graduation), my experience hasn’t been the typical one. Instead of having my formative experience at a collegian, I’ve had it as an alumna. While I would’ve loved to have more of the collegiate experience, I have loved every second of my alumna one.
I had an amazing experience at TLC this weekend. I feel more connected to Alpha Gam today than ever, and I’m so, so excited to see where we go from here.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend too!

It looks like you had a wonderful time with the girls. I had a at home weekend with the family, Bbq with dad for Father’s Day. It was wonderful!
I did – so glad you did too!
How awesome that you went to the leadership conference!!! How did I not know you were initiated so close to the end of your college life!! How cool! What made you want to join a sorority at the end? I’d love to hear the story!
And really… Alpha Gams are the best! 🙂
Oh I should write that story out, although it definitely is a short one.
And yes, obviously we’re the best! LIEP <3
Looks like fun! Glad you enjoyed your trip!
Thank you!
Girl’s weekends are so good for the soul! It’s ok to get away from your family and take a little time for yourself. It actually makes you a better wife and mom 🙂
It does! It was hard to leave, but I’m so thankful I went!
This sounds like such a fun weekend. I don’t think that my university had any sororities. haha Safe to say I never had an experience like that. Looks like you had a great time though.
I did, thanks!
This is so awesome!!! I went to a leadership conference for my sorority a few years ago and had so much fun! It is really cool and special to fall even more in love with your sisterhood years later. 🙂
It really is, and so so fun!
