Abbie: 26 Weeks and 6 Months

Today my little girl is both 26 weeks and 6 months old!  I’ve decided that today will be the last weekly update I do, so I’ll be moving these questions to her monthly updates.

Weight: Definitely over 15 pounds.  We find out for sure at her 6 month appointment next week.
Health:  All Good!
Sleep:  Abbie slept through the night three times this week!  The other nights, she’s woken up briefly, but I’ve stopped nursing at night.  I think she was mostly doing it for comfort, so I decided to go ahead and break the habit now.  Now I just go in, give her back her nunnie (that’s what we call a pacifier) and her lovey (her sleep sheep blankie), then turn her projector on.  She’s gone back to sleep with no problem each time!  She’s also learned to put herself to sleep at night the same way, so I’ve been able to put her down awake a few times.  It’s such a change from a few months ago.  Her naps are still problematic, but we finally bought blackout curtains for her room, and I’m hoping that helps.
Social:  She’s so much fun!  She smiles whenever she sees us, and loves to play with us.  On the not so good end, I think she’s now learned to cry for attention…I’m in for it if she has!
Diet: Still breastmilk, formula, and solids.  Still loving her food and I’m slowly introducing more new foods.
Clothes:  6 months and starting to integrate the 6-9 and 9 month clothes!
Baby Gear Love:  Loving her jumperoo more and more, and way more interested in her toys.
Crying:  Just when she’s tired.
Likes:  Playing, sitting, her teethers, fruit puree popsicles, chewing on everything and anything, hugs, bathtime, bouncing.
Nicknames: Abs, Abbiecakes, Stinker, Bug, Buggie, Lovebug
Postpartum:  Still working on the weight loss.  I definitely need to buckle down!
Milestones:  Hitting the half a year mark!

My sweet girl,
I know I’ve said this before, but I love being your mom.  Your personality has come out so much more in this past month.  You’re so happy and loving, and I hope you always stay that way.  You light up when you see us, and all I have to do is think of you and I smile.  It’s amazing to watch you grow and learn new things.  Sometimes I can’t believe you’ve only been in our lives 6 months.  Always remember how much we love you.  I love seeing you grow and can’t wait to see what you do next!
All my love,
Momma

And a comparison of months 1-6…

Have a great weekend everyone!
