Happy Friday! We’ve officially made it through the first full week of 2016, and I am so happy to see the weekend nearly here. I’m linking up with all the usual Friday linkups today and bringing you my five!
Getting back into a routine this week has been a blessing, but I’m still getting into my groove. It’s kind of nice to be back at work, but getting up on Monday morning was definitely rough. Work’s been a bit busier this week for me due to some staffing changes, but I’m just going to handle it all the best I can – that’s all we can do, right? Abbie also started dance class this week (it was my in-laws birthday gift to her) and the pictures she sent me are just too cute.
I’m already planning for Valentine’s Day, and we’re going to be making Abbie’s valentines this year… based on one of her favorite shows. I’m going to pick up the supplies this weekend and hopefully Abbie and I can make them this weekend or next – can’t wait to show you what I’m doing!

I’m really trying to eat a lot of veggies lately, and this salad has been in heavy rotation. Easy, filling, and lots of veggies and protein. You should try it!
We don’t have any big plans this weekend, just a lot of errands and possibly a trip to IKEA. We haven’t been in a while and I could use some new ideas and a few storage solutions, so we’ll see how it goes! Chris is also really excited for the Redskins playoff game on Sunday against the Packers. The Redskins are 9-7 this year, with is a HUGE improvement from last year’s 3-13 record. If you need us on Sunday, we’ll be cheering on our Redskins.
