My Husband’s New Obsession

Lately, Chris has really gotten into Asian food, and specifically – potstickers. He’s asked me to buy them at the store nearly every week. Now if you know Chris in real life, you know he’s new to cooking. When we started dating, he survived on a lot of fast food, pasta, and frozen meatballs. Nowadays, that’s changed drastically – he loves helping me with meals and making his own lunches on the weekends. When we got the opportunity from Giant to try out their new World Menu line, I knew I would be heading straight for the potstickers.

I went over to Giant and picked out the obvious – Chicken and Vegetable Potstickers, but also checked out the rest of the line. I also picked up a lo mein stir fry from the Asian section, as well as two things from the Italian section – some fettuccine alfredo for me (Chris is crazy and doesn’t like alfredo sauce) and the ancient grain salad. The new line has lots of tasty-looking stuff, and a lot of it is pretty low in calories – the ancient grain salads I picked up are only 120 calories each. It fits well into the healthier lifestyle we all seem to be working on nowadays.

Anyway, Chris cooked up the potstickers the other day for lunch and loved them. Lots of flavor and super easy for him to make. In fact, I didn’t even get one, he ate them so fast.

Giant’s new World Menu line features more than 50 Italian and Asian dishes. They’re primarily in the frozen section and are easy to prepare. They make great, easy solutions during the work week and are a great way to get kids to pick out something new to try (maybe I’ll even get Chris to try some alfredo sauce one of these days). Since Giant is close by, they’re definitely going to be something I turn to when planning our menus for the week!

I was provided a gift card to purchase these items for review, but all opinions are my own.
