Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend! We had a great one complete with family and fun, but no fireworks. We’re strict about bedtime around here.
Since Independence Day fell on Saturday this year, we were fortunate to both have Friday off. Since the weather wasn’t the best (it’s been raining here a lot lately), we hit a Weight Watchers meeting before heading off to the mall. I made the mistake of luring Abbie into Pottery Barn kids…
…and I’m pretty sure I’ll need to find one of these vanities used somewhere. Sometimes I wish their stuff wasn’t so cute because it’s SO expensive! I also wish I was a bit handier and could build something like this, but my DIY skills are limited to painting and putting things together. Oh well.
As for our Fourth, we spent most of the day in our jammies, washing basically every piece of clothing we own (seriously, like 8 loads of laundry), then heading out to Manassas’ Celebrate America once Abbie got up from her nap…
…where she got her first taste of cotton candy. She liked it, I swear. She also kept calling it a cookie.
That’s all I’ve got today guys – short and sweet. May you coffee be strong and your Monday be short.

Aw she had cotton candy for the first time! Gosh I remember getting it all over myself when I first tried it! Hope you had a Happy 4th! I pretty much just caught up on R&R since it rained!
She was so silly, I think she didn’t quite understand it… but she has my sweet tooth for sure!
That little vanity is SO cute! Start scouring Craig’s List! 😉 Hehe. I just love her white-blonde hair, its so pretty!
My MIL said she already found a cheaper model… 🙂
And her hair color is NUTS. I still don’t understand it.
I have been searching for the perfect white vanity for my daughter’s room and that vanity is it. Of course every time I find the perfect item, it’s way overpriced – go figure.
We skipped the fireworks too – not worth having a cranky child due to lack of sleep!
I know, of COURSE it’s super expensive!
I LOVE Pottery Barn but hate the prices! Maybe Ikea makes something similar? Or you could “hack” something else into a vanity? And yay Monday is almost over! 🙂
Haha, my MIL apparently already found a more reasonable one!
She is so adorable with the vanity, drying her hair! I love Pottery Barn, and we were able to buy some furniture from them a few years ago. They do have good sales, but still expensive. We didn’t do a lot for the 4th, and it was nice! I don’t know if my kids have ever had cotton candy. Whoops!
Susan
Even their sales are just too pricey for me! Maybe if we win the lottery, right? 🙂
