Well, it’s here again – my Stitch Fix reveal! I fall more in love with this service every month (and I know I seriously say that every month). I feel like as time has gone on, it’s definitely gotten to the point that its more and more my style, and Darla is the best. I am so glad I took the plunge a few months back and asked for a new stylist, or I wouldn’t have Darla (who reads my blog too! Hi Darla!).
Anyway, for this month’s fix I asked for pieces to transition to fall (you guys, it’s almost here. I’m so excited) and possibly another pair of Emers if they had them. Once again, I am so happy with what I received… but I can’t decide and that’s where you come in! Here we go!
41HAWTHORN Sloane Colorblock A-Line Ponte Shift Dress – XL – $78.00
When I pulled this out, my first thought was that it looked a lot like the Dita dress I got in my February fix. When I put it on, I realized it had a similar feel, but it is definitely a different dress! I love the detailing on the neckline and the colorblocking, and I feel like it really fits me well. It’s the kind of dress I can wear to work or out, one I can layer with in the fall, and I definitely see a lot of versatility in it. Chris really liked it too, so I’m leaning toward keeping this one. Verdict: Keeping!
MARGARET M Emer Jacquard Print Straight Leg Pant – L – $98.00
So, remember the green Emers I got in my May fix that I was so sad to send back? Well, these are BETTER. These teal beauties have a gorgeous pattern and fit me perfectly. I love them, but I’m only unsure of how versatile they’ll be. They’re totally work appropriate, comfortable (seriously, they feel like yoga pants), and fun. I’m just going to have to really decide if I have enough in my closet to go with them. I really feel the pattern is bold, so it needs a neutral with it – I may need to hit up Target for some basic tops to go with it if I keep them. Verdict: Keeping!
41HAWTHORN Trinidad Geo Print Henley Top – XL – $48.00
So, I don’t really know what to say about this top. I do like the print of it, but I feel like it was just…. meh. I might wear it, and the material was soft, but I just didn’t feel like it did anything for me. It just kind of hung there, you know? I also felt it was a big too clingy, like it showed all of my lumps and bumps. Not a winner. Verdict: Sending back – updated – keeping because it’s cheaper to keep with the discount!
SKIES ARE BLUE Arnott Double Front Pocket Top – XL – $58.00
This top is the epitome of why I love Stitch Fix. I would never ever have picked this up in a store. Seriously – not what I’m drawn to… but I actually really like it. It’s definitely a casual piece and not for work at all, but I can see it with jeans, khakis, or casual skirts. It also would work open with a shirt underneath as well as closed. I’m just not sure I’ll wear it enough, though I do think it’s really flattering and it even BUTTONS. Button ups almost never work on me, so I was shocked by this. It fits perfectly and I’m so, so torn. Verdict: Keeping!
ZAD Marriot Charm Layer Necklace – $28.00
I pinned this necklace recently when I saw Mandy get it, so I was excited to see it… but I’m not thrilled with it. I feel like the layers of chains get tangled too easily and I would be messing with it constantly to get it to lay right. I do LOVE the price point, but I wish I loved the necklace more than I do. If I was keeping everything else, I’d definitely keep it and wear it, but since I know at least one item is going back it’s not worth it to keep. Verdict: Sending back – updated – keeping because it’s cheaper to keep with the discount!
So, that’s my August Stitch Fix box – Fix number 16!

I love the dress and the pants and would send the rest back. The plaid shirt is okay but personally I think you could find one just as cute if not cuter for less.
So fun following you stitch fix boxes!
So, I decided I like the shirt enough to keep, just for the convenience of not having to go find one anywhere… and then with the discount it was cheaper to keep everything! I’ve already worn the dress though, definitely my favorite piece.
Those pants are seriously AMAZING!!! Keep, keep keep!!! 🙂
Well, of course I did!!
So, I liked those pants until I saw the price. Then I gasped! Ha, but if they’re that comfy and perfect, then maybe they’re a keeper? I know it wasn’t part of your box, but where’d you get the black top? LOVE it. I also reallllllllllllllllllly like the geo print on you—incredibly flattering. Just based on looks alone, I’d pick that over the button up (which you could find something similar for cheaper—old navy always has tops like that).
It is a LOT for the pants. the first time I received them, I actually sent them back… and regretted it. But for work, they’re AMAZING. It’s like wearing comfy, flattering yoga pants to work.
The black top is actually from Stitch Fix too, a few boxes back. I wear it a lot!
I love the dress and pants. They are both really flattering. The necklace is so cute but it looks like it would tangle and if I were wearing it I would be completely distracted with it…
jessica lynn I’ve seen shirts similar to that black shirt in stitch fix boxes 🙂
Thanks! I ended up keeping everything since it was cheaper for the 3/5 things I liked!
Love the dress and the pants. I’d send the rest back.
I actually liked the plaid top so much that I wanted to keep it…. and then it was cheaper to keep everything (they give you 25% off if you do)!
I like the pants and the dress too. I got the same dress in my first box last week. Super cute, but I just didn’t like the way it fit me so I wound up sending it back. Definitely looks much better on you.
Thank you! I was really happy with the way it fit.
