Happy Thursday! Today’s my birthday, so I thought I’d share a little more about me so you can get to know me a little better. I’m sure I’ve shared some of these things before and some I haven’t, but I always like getting to know my favorite bloggers just a little bit better and seeing what we have in common. So, here’s 32 things about me – one for each year of my life. Have a fabulous day all!
- I cannot sleep without covers.
- I’m super clumsy. I trip over my own two feet.
- Some days I can’t believe how lucky I am to have such a great little family.
- I have really short stubby toes that my mom calls “Fred Flintstone toes.”
- I love to collect fun mugs.
- I’m handy around the house. My parents had no boys and I’m the oldest girl, so my dad was always teaching me things.
- I collect anything with a squirrel on it.
- Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
- I make wishes at yellow lights, when the clock hits 11:11, and when I find a random eyelash.
- I bruise really easily and they last forever – like months!
- The main reason I shower at night is so I don’t have to dry my hair in the morning. #lazy
- I refuse to dye my hair until I start going gray… which could be any day now.
- I have the ability to talk to complete strangers about anything. I get it from my mom.
- I have NEVER tried a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
- Starting to get Stitch Fix boxes has been amazing for my self-esteem. I truly thing looking better makes me feel better.
- Since having Abbie, I can’t watch SVU anymore – hits too close to home sometimes.
- I have a love/hate relationship with being a working parent.
- Abbie’s blonde hair STILL baffles me.
- I hate summer in Virginia – the humidity here is brutal.
- I almost never paint my nails.
- I’m afraid of stairs that are open underneath.
- If I’m not driving, I lift up my feet when I go over train tracks.
- I am superstitious.
- I don’t like pie.
- I could eat breakfast for every meal.
- I’ve never been to the west coast.
- I collect cookbooks. I had over 250 at last count.
- I don’t like carrot cake, which my mom cannot understand. Carrots just don’t belong in cake.
- I’ve worn glasses or contacts since I was 9 years old.
- I’m afraid of having a boy next because everyone has told me how much boys eat.
- I love acapella music and am really hoping the Sing Off comes back this year.
- I sent my mom flowers today – yes, for MY birthday.
Hope you all have a wonderful day! Oh, and if you have anything random you want me to answer about myself, leave it below!

#32 is so sweet!
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday!! We have a ton of things in common. 🙂 hope you have a great day.
Happy Birthday! So many similarities! I too have to have covers, have had glasses since 5th grade, and never tried a PSL! I also stopped watching SVU a few years ago after an exceptionally scary episode. I immediately took it off my season pass!
I’m totally the same on #11 AND #12!
Jess … HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You are the heartbeat of our family, Abbie and I love you so much!

Happy Birthday! I love these type of posts and have mine scheduled for two-weeks time, when its my birthday 🙂 How sweet are you sending your mom flowers?!
Love that you sent your mama flowers on your own birthday. How sweet!! Happy birthday girly, hope it’s a great one!
Happy birthday! I’m with you on #11 – I do the same thing! #17 as well! Hope 32 is fabulous!
Happy Birthday!!
And I’m with you I don’t dye my hair either – you’re like me, dark hair can go VERY wrong…however I’m really hung up on ombre right now and dying the bottom for a chance and if I hate it, cut it off!
Hope you had an awesome day!
I’m actually debating putting some hidden pink highlights in my hair… but I’m too chicken to actually do it!
I hope you had a Happy Birthday! Your post is so sweet. You and I have a lot of things in common – stairs with no backs scare me; I have to have covers, too; rhubarb doesn’t below in bread or anywhere!

Girlfriend, you and me are the glasses/contacts since we were 9. I don’t mind it now that I wear glasses almost all of the time, but I hated it as a child. I’ve also never been to the west coast and I get the worst bruises over nothing all the time.

Happy Belated Birthday! I hope this next year is your best yet! I lift my feet over train tracks too! And I LOVE that you sent your mom flowers on your birthday, I need to start doing that, I mean a mama does all the work on a birth day and should totally be acknowledged every year!
Happy birthday! If you’re 32 already with no grays that’s impressive. My husband is 31 and has more than a hundred gray hairs…haha, I used to count them till there were too many. I can’t sleep without a blanket either.
Ok so I’m super behind on reading, but I just had to pop in and tell you how many of these I could have checked off for myself, sleeping with covers, bruises that last for months, and making wishes at 11:11 and with eyelashes just to name a few! And happy (super) belated birthday!
Thank you 🙂
