Bumpdate: 16 weeks!

How Far Along? 16 weeks!

Weight Gain? Eh, I haven’t weighed myself lately, but I feel about the same.

Size of Baby? An avocado!

Maternity Clothes?  Still the pants and a mix on maternity and non-maternity tops and dresses

Stretch Marks?  Not yet.

Gender? This week I had a dream about BB being a girl, so that’s what I’ll go with this week!

Sleep? Sometimes great, sometimes awful. I’m still getting up to pee during the night and change positions.

Food Cravings? Still Ketchup and chocolate milk.

Symptoms? I had a little bit of a scare this week when my feet and ankles swelled up something FIERCE. Thankfully, they went down after a day or so, so I think it was a combination of the heat and humidity (it was over 100 degrees those days) and being on my feet too much at work. I’ve got a box under my desk now to put my feet up on. Plus, I’m now fighting a nasty cold…being sick while you’re pregnant is no fun!

Movement? Yep! Pretty sure I felt a few solid kicks and I’m feeling “flutters” pretty regularly now…especially after I eat sugar. Pretty sure BB has a sweet tooth like me!

Belly Button? Innie

Wedding rings on or off? Both, technically. I kind of cheated on this one. My rings still fit, but just barely. Since they’re family heirlooms, I’m TERRIFIED of something happening to them, so they now stay safely at home. I bought a $20 ring on Amazon about a size and a half up, and that’s what I’ll be wearing for a while.

Labor signs? Dear Lord no.

Best Moment of the Week? Feeling the first flutters and kicks!

What I Miss? Being able to take heavy duty cold medicine. Ugh.

What I am looking forward to: Getting over this cold and feeling kicks on a more regular basis!

I know you guys will hate this, but no picture this week (at least for now)  I’m staying in bed and trying to sleep off this cold!

  1. YAYYYY! Movement!! Such a cool feeling! Even after several months of it and when it’s directly focused on your rib cage and you can’t focus on work because of it 😉

    and Yes to the cold medicine – my post-baby list includes beer, cold cuts, raw cookie dough, and the first sign of a sickness I am chugging Nyquil. Love that drug-induced sleep 🙂

  2. Note to self for future- but a cheap simple ring to wear when fingers swell. Absolutely fantastic idea!
