Bumpdate: 40 Weeks and Due Date!

How Far Along? 40 Weeks – it’s my due date!

Weight Gain? 35 pounds at the doctor today.

Size of Baby? A watermelon. 19-22 inches and 6-9 pounds.

Maternity Clothes?  Yep.

Stretch Marks?  Yep.

Gender? Baby Girl!

Sleep? Still the same, just getting up for the bathroom.

Food Cravings? Nope.

Symptoms? Same – swelling, uncomfortable, and a little bit of heartburn. Not bad considering how uncomfortable some people get, so I’m trying not to complain.

Movement? She’s been a little more active recently – hopefully because she’s getting into position…

Belly Button? Still weird.

Wedding rings on or off? Cheapo ring is on.

Labor signs? Ugh. NONE. At the doctor today, I still had 0 progress toward labor. I’ve had a few twinges on my left side, but nothing that I think is a contraction. I’m thankful baby girl is content to grow as much as possible, but it’s starting to worry me that I might still have no progress next week. My doctor’s office is still scheduling my induction (silly week before Christmas being super-busy), but it’s looking like I’ll be induced next Friday if I don’t go into labor on my own…which is looking like a distinct possibility. I’m trying not to be upset about it, but it’s frustrating to think that my body isn’t doing what its supposed to be right now, and I’m scared I still won’t dilate and I’ll need a c-section…which is the absolute last thing I want. Nothing to do but wait, though.

Best Moment of the Week?  Passing my Non-Stress Test today with flying colors. She’s doing perfect in there.

What I Miss? Remembering what I looked like not pregnant. I seriously can’t remember.

What I am looking forward to: Finally meeting our little girl…whenever she decides its time!
