Good Morning and happy…. Tuesday? Sorry, hard to keep track while on holiday break from work…. okay, I’ll stop bragging now. Especially because once I go back on January 5th, I don’t get a holiday until Memorial Day. Karma and all that.
We had such a fun Christmas, and I hope you all did too! We had a quiet Christmas Eve at home, complete with easy sugar cookies (sometimes you just have to go with the pre-made refrigerated ones). That night, Santa ate his cookies and left Abbie lots of surprises under the tree.
It took a bit of coaxing to get Abbie to dig into her stocking, which was stuffed with Disney Junior goodies. Santa must know Abbie’s favorite TV shows.
After a quick breakfast of cinnamon rolls, we started to dig in to the presents. Abbie kept getting distracted and wanting to play with each toy rather than keep unwrapping. It was adorable, but annoying. That’s toddlers for you, right?
After that, my parents and sisters arrived with even MORE presents. Abbie is one loved little girl.
All that was fun, but the highlight of my day was actually watching my mom open her gift. My sisters all pitched in with Chris and I on a big surprise for her. Bette Midler is touring and coming to DC in June, and we surprised her with tickets. Probably no one will enjoy this video but us, but I couldn’t resist putting it up here.

After that, there was lots of playing, a few naps, and a game of Life. Chris’ brother Greg came over too, and we had a blast.
I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and Happy ALMOST 2015!
