Happy February! Just like 2015 did, it seems like 2016 is racing along. We had a bust weekend, so I thought I’d do a quick currently post today to talk a bit about what’s going on around here. I haven’t done one of these since November! Here’s what’s going on in our world…
Reading… I’m sad to say nothing. I keep starting different samples on my kindle and nothing is really catching my interest. Any suggestions? It’s been a while since I’ve been lost in a good book and I miss it.
Watching… Attempting to catch up on Top Chef. That and HGTV are about all I watch nowadays. I do want to finish rewatching all of Gilmore Girls at some point though, since the reboot is now official!
Listening… To lots of podcasts. I always forget how much I love them until I have a bunch of them to dive into at once, then I binge listen to them for a few weeks. My friend Sara did a post the other day of her favorites, and that added a few new ones to my list!
Making… lots of salads. (This one of my favorites!) I got really off track the past few weeks with Chris being out of town and the blizzard, and I’m definitely feeling the effects. I was doing so well for a while there, and I need to really concentrate on that again.
Wishing… to win the lottery. A girl can dream, right?
Looking forward to… my niece arriving! My sister-in-law’s due date was yesterday, so baby could come any day now! So excited to earn the title of Aunt and learn her name!
Hoping… For all the snow to melt. We’re supposed to stay in the 50s all week, so hopefully it disappears soon!
Eating… More fruits, vegetables and protein. It’s the only way to get closer to my goal. I’m also loving these Yasso Greek Yogurt bars – so good and if I’m going to have dessert, I might as well get some protein in too, right?
Drinking… all water, all the time. Well, except for my morning coffee.
Going… just about our normal routines. I’m a creature of habit and love it.
Spending… Less. Well, trying to – always a work in progress.
Wondering… when Abbie will finally show an interest in potty training. I don’t want to push her, but we’re getting really tired of the diapers!
Wanting… a new computer, so badly. Mine is on its last legs so I’ve been saving up to be able to buy the MacBook Pro I want and have something that will last and be able to handle everything I need to do.
Missing… the weekend. As always, it went too fast and I didn’t get nearly enough done.
Feeling… pretty good. Life is overall pretty smooth right now, just busy, so I’m just trying to enjoy it and keep up as best I can.
Loving… this blog community in so lucky to be part of. No matter what happens with this blog, I know I’ve made some amazing friends because of it. We’re starting to plan a get together for September and I’m SO excited to finally meet these amazing ladies I love so much in person!
What are you up to currently?

I am so sad that I can’t come to the meet up!! I cannot wait for the millions of pictures!! I feel ya on the lottery…why can’t it just happen?! Ha! PS Cam is 3.5 and STILL in diapers. He has ZERO interest, and his teachers say not to push it, but I am O-V-E-R changing his diaper!
Awww, we’ll take lots of photos for you! And here’s hoping both our littles show some potty interest soon! So ready to be done with her diapers!
Ahh I forgot about top chef! I need to catch up, too!
I am SO behind. If I were you I’d be catching up during those late night nursing sessions!
HGTV is where it’s at! It’s my go-to station when I’m on the treadmill, definitely makes time go faster! 🙂 Congrats on your little niece on the way- so exciting!!!
Oh so true! And I can’t wait to meet her – she’s a month old already and we haven’t made it down there!
Girl I want to win the lottery too. That would be amazing! 🙂 sorry you aren’t finding a book you like. Boo! I’m a big fan of Laine Moriarty. I need to finally start a hypnotist’s love story. Cam is finally interested in potty training. Thank you lord!! Have a great week!
I would totally share if I won! I actually have read ALL of Liane Moriarity’s books! She’s one of my favorites!
I’m wondering about the potty training thing with Noah too! Don’t want to push him either!
Seriously – are they trying to make it hard on us?!?
Some of my favorite books: The Night Circus, Calling Me Home, and The Goldfinch. Also, definitely try to be patient with the potty training. It is so so easy when they decide to do it on their own.
I started The Night Circus but never finished it, so maybe I’ll give it another try. I’ve heard that EVERYWHERE about potty training… I’m just getting impatient, you know?
