For the past few years, I’ve wanted to take Abbie to the pumpkin patch, but it never quite worked out. I also didn’t think she’d get a ton out of it, so it wasn’t tops on my list to go, but this year, we finally went out for some fall fun.
(I also want to point out the shirt she’s wearing… and she picked it herself. I think I’ve successfully made my girl a Hokie fan.)
Yesterday we took the morning to head over to Cox Farms for some fall fun, and Abbie had a blast. In addition to pumpkins, they have giant slides, play areas, hayrides, a market… basically almost everything fall you can think of.
I love that we were finally able to head to one this year, although it’s a bit too expensive for us to go more than once a year ($17 each, and we had to pay for Abbie). I know as she gets bigger, she’ll be able to enjoy it more. There were a few things we didn’t get to do, like the hayride (the line was horrendous and you know toddlers and lines), and exploring the market.
We also had the inevitable meltdown when we left, but it was worth it.
Did you do anything fall-related over the weekend?

This place looks like a blast!! Adorable photos. We are going to the pumpkin patch this Saturday and I can’t wait.
What a cute little Hokie fan!!! I am so jealous of everyone who has those potato sack slides! What a fun trip!
Looks like an awesome pumpkin patch! Ours is pricey too, so we go during the week when Conor gets off to avoid the crowds. It always feels like we have the place to ourselves!
