FIVE {3.11.16}

Happy Friday! These weeks waiting for spring to truly arrive always seem to take forever to get to the weekend, so I am so happy to see Friday. Since I know I can’t be the only one, let’s get to my five for the week!

ONE

We officially switched Abbie over to a “big girl bed” by converting her crib on Sunday… and she LOVES it. She’s done so well with it – never gotten out of bed and goes to sleep with no issues. She really is getting bigger by the minute and I’m just so proud of her. I think her favorite part is when the cats jump into her bed in the mornings… something tells me it won’t be long before she asks for them to sleep in her room!

TWO

It’s been beautiful here for the past week, and we’ve finally been able to pull out the short sleeves! A lot of Abbie’s things from last year should still fit this year (especially her shorts), but I’m definitely going to need to add a few tops, dresses, and short PJs. My favorite consignment sales are next month, but in the meantime I can’t help looking at all these cute things Old Navy has. Seriously, Abbie’s wardrobe is 80% consignment and 20% Old Navy!

THREE

I spent ALL of last night replying to two months’ worth of comments, so if you got a few notifications from me, that’s why! I really don’t mean to let them pile up like that, but you know, life gets in the way.

FOUR

I shared the recipe for these Lucky Treats yesterday and am so ready to make them again. They were gone just a little too quickly because they were so good!

FIVE

My mom and sister are coming up tomorrow to spend the day with us, and Abbie is already excited. I am so thankful my family lives so close to us and it’s easy for us to hang out on random weekends.

 Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Any fun plans?

  1. I have been reading so many blogs that are talking about consignment sales lately. I honestly don’t think we have many of them around here in Ohio—I’m going to have to look into it. It seems most if the bloggers are Southern—not sure where you live?—so I’m wondering if it’s just more of a southern thing?

    1. I’m sure there are some near you! Consignment Mommies is a great resource to find them (I believe it’s consignmentmommies.com but just google it). There are a LOT near me because I’m near a big city (DC) but I’m sure you’ll find them – I have friends all over the country that shop consignment. Good luck!

I’m Jess! I’m a working mama of two sweet sisters living in the DC area. This is my space to share inspiration, real stories of working motherhood, recipes, style, and more! I can’t start my day without coffee and always try to show the real side of motherhood – the good and the challenging. I’m so glad you’re here – thanks for following along on my journey!
