Five on Friday

Hi guys! I promise I’m still here. I took a bit of an unintentional blogging break this week and am hoping to get back to normal this week. I think we all need a little break sometimes, right? Anyway, I’m jumping back in with a five on Friday and a little life update!

ONE

If you didn’t notice, my blog got a bit of a facelift! (Click over to the full site if you’re on a reader to see it.) I loved my old design, but I was ready for something a bit fresher and simpler, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. Kristen helped me out with my logo and theme install and did a great job!

TWO

I have just two weeks left of maternity leave and I have mixed emotions about it. On one hand, I’m going to miss Ella, and of course miss being able to nap when she naps and get out and about during the day. On the other hand… I need to go back to work because I’m starting to go stir crazy. My days right now pretty much revolve around nursing, pumping, and getting Ella to nap. I am just about ready to head back to work and be around adults all day. I’ve said it before, but some people are just meant to be working moms, and I’m one of them.

THREE

Anyone else tried the new Cascara Latte at Starbucks? I tried it today and was not really impressed. It basically just tasted like coffee. So not bad, just not anything special. I won’t be ordering it again because it definitely was not worth the price.

FOUR

We have no definite plans this weekend and I’m pretty excited about that. desperately need to go through all the storage in our basement (considering most of it hasn’t been touched in the 2+ years we’ve lived here) and I’m hoping to put a bit of a dent in it. We’ll see how much we get through because I have entirely too much stuff (although if you know me, you know this is nothing new).

FIVE

I officially booked my flights for BlogHer this morning! The entire Moms Without Answers team is going, and I’m so excited to see my girls again. I never would’ve guessed how close I would get to people I met on the internet. It’s crazy when you think about it. I’m a little bit nervous since there’s a strong possibility I’ll still be pumping when I go and I’ve never traveled with a breast pump or milk, but I’ve got plenty of time to figure that out.

That’s all I’ve got. Happy Friday everyone!
