Happy Friday everyone – time to link up with Darci, April, Christina and Natasha!

It’s frigid outside…15 degrees this morning to be exact. We got some snow overnight, but not enough to close my office…but it seems a lot of people stayed home since the roads were pretty empty. At least my commute was shorter?

I only worked two days this week…but I’m already missing my time off. It was really my first extended time off since maternity leave last year.

There is no doubt about it, Abbie is a full blown toddler…and quickly learning how to turn the waterworks on to get what she wants. Anyone have any toddler discipline strategies or books they recommend? I’m going to try to get to the library this weekend to pick up a few – need to be prepared!

I redid an Ikea table into a chalkboard table for Abbie and she LOVES it already. I’ll share the DIY next week – it’s super easy!

I’m kind of dreading my Weight Watchers meeting tomorrow – not because I don’t want to go, but because everyone who decided on a New Year’s resolution will be there. Our normal sized meeting will be packed…until they start to taper off in about 6 weeks. I applaud their choice to get healthier…but the ones that quit are just kind of obnoxious to me for a while!
Oh, and in case you missed it – I’m offering 40% off all ads with the code 2014! Make sure you snatch one up!

that table looks like it turned out great! I 100% understand your feelings about NYR ppl at WW! I feel the same way about ppl at the gym! As for toddler discipline – I don’t think there’s any magic secret other than figuring out what works for your kid. My advise is save NO for the really serious stuff and from there just pick your battles. For example I often let Callie have multiple water cups a day because she gets them out herself. What’s a few extra cups to watch vs saying no?
Love the chalkboard table, super cute!! 🙂 I love Ikea, makes me want to go there and find something to ‘hack’ myself! Hope you’re having a good weekend girl!
You too – go Bengals!
That’s what I’ve heard about NO…but I really need to figure out how to get her to stop hitting me in the face! Right now she’s also in the GRAB EVERYTHING mode, so that’s been tough.
I feel like Callie went through that phase and then moved on the more she could do on her own. I also rearranged cupboards and the pantry so the stuff she could grab was no big deal so I didn’t have to say no or worry. It was kinda a pain but now it just works. I’ve been having to use NO a lot more lately because someone is trying to climb everywhere and not safe places! Ugh parenting right? 🙂
