Just some random thoughts of mine…just in time to link up with Darci, April, Christina and Natasha for Five on Friday.

We’re making a Costco run this weekend and that always excites me (I’m easily entertained, I guess). So far on the list – onions, mandarin oranges (Abbie could eat them EVERY day), pesto, cat litter, and Honest baby wash. Anything you always buy there that we should check out?

Am I the only one that sees photos of celebrities on the Red Carpet and has no earthly idea who they are? I must not watch enough TV or see enough movies.

My sister is doing a family tree project for one of her classes this semester and what she’s already found is pretty interesting…apparently my great grandmother was named Florence…which was Chris’ grandmother’s name. Weird how that happens.

It’s freaking cold here. I’m tired of it. I know everyone in the south has been saying this lately, and it must drive all you northerners nuts. Sorry – it’s not usually in single digits around here! I don’t know how you guys deal with it.

That 34? It’s the warmest it’ll have been all week! |

Want to give a shoutout to my sweet friend Jessica at Jessica Lynn Writes – it’s her birthday today! Happy birthday, name twin! (or triplet, or quadruplet…there’s a lot of Jessicas in the world).
Happy Friday!

I think Costco is different in Canada than where you are, but my go-to items are bananas (super cheap), Olive Oil, minced garlic, hummus, liquid egg whites, turkey bacon, milk, and coffee!!
I’ve never been to a Costco. You did remind me that I forgot to buy oranges at Walmart earlier. You are not alone, I rarely know who celebrities are on the Red Carpet. Have a great weekend!
Get yourself several jars of Almond Toffee bites! They are to die for!
Ah, thanks for the happy birthday wishes!!! YAY, totally unexpected and so appreciative 🙂
also:
1. they sell the Honest Company stuff at Costco? SWEET! We go to Costco about once a month or so (it’s about 2 hours away in Atlanta, so it’s a day trip to go there). We always get a huge back of chicken thighs, pecans, eggs, and fruit. Those are the staples!
2. I always feel so old for the award show since I don’t know anyone anymore 🙁
4. I can’t decide if I want the cold to end, because then the humidity will come, and I absolutely positively HATE humidity!
I LOVE costco. I find myself there at least once a week! I love all their organic options, so we buy our chicken, ground beef, eggs, & milk there. I also love that they carry coconut oil & agave nectar. If you don’t have those in pantry, I highly suggest adding them!
We usually buy olive oil too – just didn’t need it this time. It’s definitely interesting to see how it’s different in different places!
How have you never been to Costco? You’re missing out!!!
I looked and didn’t see those! Not that I need more sweets, haha.
1 – They do at ours, but only the baby wash…which I LOVE since it smells amazing. I keep wanting to buy it but we’re not quite out of the huge Aveeno one I had bought, so I keep putting it off. And how how how can Costco be TWO hours from you? I have 3 within a half hour radius of us!
2 – Yes. Must be a 30 year old thing 🙂
4 – Ugh, we get the humidity here too…stupid east coast!
I do keep coconut oil around – what do you use agave for? I keep hearing about it but I’m not sure how I’d use it.
It’s a replacement for sugar or honey, but a much healthier option. I think it dissolves better than honey in most things, and the flavor is better!
