Our Holiday Birth Announcements

One of my absolute favorite things about the holiday season is the mail. Normally, my mailbox is full of bills and junk, but during the holidays, it fills with the happy faces of my friends and family in the form of holiday cards. I love seeing all the cards on display with our decorations and seeing how families grow and change over the years.

I look forward to designing our holiday card every year, from planning our family photo shoot with our favorite photographers to designing the actual card. Since Chris and I are an interfaith family, it’s important to me that our holiday card be inclusive and address all the celebrations going on this time of year. This year I worked with Tiny Prints for our card, and I love that they have so many options that are holiday themed, rather than just Christmas cards. It’s so important to me to make everyone feel welcomed and that their holidays are important!

Since Ella was born last month, I wanted to make sure that our card featured her this year, and what better way than to send a holiday themed birth announcement? We actually did this with Abbie four years ago and it worked out perfectly. Tiny Prints has a huge selection of holiday birth announcements, and the hardest part was picking which design I liked best.

I ended up settling on this gorgeous pink design with silver foil detail. I am always so impressed with the quality of Tiny Prints cards. They’re printed on thick, beautiful paper and always come out with the colors exactly as I pictured them. I love the pop of silver foil on these ones – it’s the first time I’ve picked cards with the foil detail and I know it won’t be the last!

I also went ahead and uploaded my address book so Tiny Prints could print all the addresses for me. With a new baby at home, I knew that having pre-addressed envelopes was key to getting these out on time! Thanks to that, when my cards arrived I was able to stuff them, stamp them, and send them out the next day! It doesn’t get much easier than that!

If you haven’t ordered your cards yet, make sure you head over to Tiny Prints and take advantage of their sale – you can get up to 40% off through 12/15 using the code JOYTOYOU!
