My Kitchen: Pesto Chicken Pizza

Feeding my family a wholesome dinner every night is no small task. We have a regular rotation of meals we pick from, but this is one of my favorites – Pesto Chicken Pizza!

Pesto Chicken Pizza - an easy five ingredient recipe the whole family will love!

This recipe is really simple and only 5 ingredients, unless you choose to dress it up some more. I usually opt to make my own pizza dough since it’s really easy and inexpensive (I use Ree Drummond’s recipe), but store bought dough would work too!

Ingredients
  1. 1 batch pizza dough
  2. 12 oz shredded mozzarella (I like to buy the block and shred it myself - it melts better!)
  3. 1/4 cup pesto sauce (you can make your own, but I like Costco's)
  4. 3-4 ounces cooked chicken, diced
  5. 5-6 grape tomatoes, cut into quarters
Instructions
  1. Prehead oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Roll out dough to desired thickness. I prefer it thinner, but it's up to you!
  3. Top with pesto, spreading around.
  4. Top pesto with chicken, mozzarella, and tomatoes.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 8-15 minutes. This will all depend on your oven and how thin you've rolled the crust.
  6. Let cool and enjoy!

  1. We love pizza and usually choose that meal on fridays as part of our family movie night. I love this recipe. So easy and adds a little twist to just regular pizza.

  2. Friday night is usually homemade chicken wings or pizza night here – I haven’t made pesto in a while, must get on that!

    1. I used to make it myself, but we go through so much of it that I couldn’t keep up! I buy the big jar from Costco and call it a day.

    1. Could you make pesto without the parmesan? And is there vegan cheese you could use? I’m sure you could adapt it!

  3. I like how simple this recipe is (very little ingredients) and yet it looks so delicious!! I just pinned this one and I am really excited to try it out! 🙂
