Pepperoni Onion Rolls

I cook dinner for my family 5-6 nights a week, and so often, people are amazed by that. Why? Time. Cooking can be incredibly time-consuming, especially the preparation ahead of time – gathering the ingredients, cutting them up, and more. The prep work is no doubt the hardest part of cooking. I love the fresh flavor of sauteed onions, fresh ginger, and more. But have you ever minced fresh ginger? It’s a pain in the butt. No wonder no ones uses fresh herbs – and no wonder all the TV chefs have everything prepped for them. If people saw what went into mincing all that ginger, they might not attempt the recipes!

That’s why I was ecstatic to start using Pop & Cook. These things are a game changer. You mean I can have sauteed onions without taking the time to do the work? I can have fresh ginger, already measured and ready to go? I can have garlic without peeling cloves or getting my fingers sticky? I can have cilantro without separating all the leaves and stems before chopping them? Done and done. Pop & Cook completely takes out much of the prep work and makes cooking so much easier for me!

I’ve loved finding ways to use Pop & Cook in my recipes and how much easier it makes things. Since I didn’t have to spend ages sauteeing onions, I was able to quickly whip up these Pepperoni Onion rolls – perfect for your game day get-togethers or even just a midday snack – so good and so easy! Check out the video and recipe below!

Pepperoni Onion Rolls

These Pepperoni Onion Rolls are an easy snack or appetizer and come together in just a few minutes!

Ingredients

1 tube store-bought biscuit dough (the large ones)

16 slices pepperoni (I used turkey but whatever you like is fine!)

1 package Pop & Cook Sauteed Glazed Onions (you'll end up using 4 cubes of it)

3 Tbsp melted butter

1 Tbsp everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Open the biscuits and flatten each one. place two slices of pepperoni and half of a Pop & Cook cube in the middle and wrap the remaining dough around it to form a ball.

Place the ball seam side down in a cast iron skillet or other round pan.

Repeat with the remaining biscuits, pepperoni, and onions.

Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with seasoning.

Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.

Brush additional melted butter on top and let cool. Try not to eat them while they're still hot!

Pop & Cook is sold at your local Walmart, so it’s easy to find. So far, my store is stocking the sauteed onions, but I’m excited for them to get the rest! Head here to find where you can grab it, and let me know what you think of the recipe!
