Every workday around here ends the same way – a busy day and a long commute home. I’ve never glossed over the harder parts of being a working parent, and without a doubt, the end of the day is one of them.
By the time I get home, Chris and I have both had full work days. Mine started with two daycare dropoffs and his ended with two daycare pickups. By the time we get home, all four of us are tired, ready to relax, and hungry. Since dinner won’t make itself, we start on that right away, but we still always end up eating dinner late – usually around 7pm. It’s a far cry from the 5:30pm dinner I always had as a kid.
Of course, some of us are more patient than others. Chris and I will usually grab something small while we cook, Abbie is more focused on playing outside, but Ella? Ella wants her dinner, and she wants it now.
All too often, we end up giving Ella endless snacks as we get dinner ready, leading to her not eating enough of her dinner – after all, what toddler doesn’t want snacks? We’re always looking for something new to try, so I loved the opportunity to try the new Happy Tots Love My Veggie Bowls.
Not only do these bowls make my life a lot easier by being ready to go when I need them, but they also include a full serving of vegetables in each one. You can serve directly out of the bowl, but Ella likes to copy her big sister and use her bowls and a fork.
Getting Ella her dinner quickly allows us enough time to whip up everyone else’s dinner, and with the Happy Tots Love My Veggie Bowls, I can feel good about what she’s eating. Shortcuts are invaluable in my life as a working mom, and I’m so glad we found another one!

When my daughter was younger and I was alone with her during meal prep I would always have veggies/fruit ready so she could start with her fruit/veggie serving and dinner wasn’t a total ruin! If she was still staarving after those I’d give her the glass of milk she would have been having at dinner ha.
As a working mom, I need this. Everett is constantly hungry anyways so something quick, easy AND seemingly healthy is so needed!
