I hope your Monday is off to a great start! It always seems to come so quickly. I feel like more than any other season, our fall weekends are busier. There’s so much to do and enjoy in the beautiful weather, which of course leads to me recapping all the fun! This weekend we went to the Manassas Fall Jubilee and my in-laws, my mom, and one of my sisters came up for it. As usual, Abbie got spoiled by her grandparents and aunt and had a blast.
Events like these are part of the reason we moved to Manassas. We live only about 10 minutes from the city of Manassas, so it’s a quick ride over there. We love the small town vibe, the local activities, supporting local business owners, and just getting involved in our community. Abbie had lots of fun in the bouncy houses and going down the slides… until we were out of the tickets Grampy got for her. That resulted in a meltdown for a few minutes!
After her fit died down, We took in the booths and got Abbie her second taste of cotton candy. She is definitely my kid – she took it and wouldn’t share at all! Girl loves her sweets, and of course it helped that it was pink – it’s already her favorite color.
We tried to grab a few photos, but in typical toddler fashion, Abbie would not sit still or smile. unless she could see herself… so she didn’t smile with my in-laws, but was more than happy to take a selfie with me. I swear, if it weren’t for selfies, I would have very few photos with my daughter.
We kind of just hung low for the rest of the weekend, with just a few errands on Sunday morning and lots of playtime. My favorite kind of weekend – just family and fun.
How was your weekend? Have you gone to any fun local events this fall?

Oh that looks like so much fun! We haven’t gone many places on the weekends yet because I don’t think Miss H cares…lol we’ve gone to a few pumpkin patches and farms when it’s not so busy during the week, so hopefully she’s gotten her fall fill!
mm cotton candy. Aria has never tired any. That should change =)
So fun!!! We tried to hit a couple of local festivals, but some Saturdays, we just love to do our groceries and come home to college football. (This means that we are so darn tired that we are too lazy to go anywhere!) Next fall…next fall. 🙂
