A Sick Day and a PJ Linkup

Yesterday was a doozy around here. You know those days that just start out rough? Yep, one of those days. We left a few minutes late, there was accident that made traffic worse, and Abbie wasn’t in a great mood. So when Abbie told me her tummy hurt… well, I should’ve listened.

I was at work for maybe 45 minutes when I got the text that Abbie had gotten sick at daycare… and just like that, my day was completely derailed. She wanted her mommy, and I couldn’t risk her getting the other kids sick, even though I suspected it was just a tummy bug.

I knew Abbie really wasn’t feeling well when she fell asleep in the car on the ride home. You guys, she NEVER falls asleep in the car. It just doesn’t really ever happen. She ended up getting sick one more time when we got home before returning to her normal happy self.

So since yesterday was so crazy, I didn’t get a chance to get my post up for the PJ Linkup! I took these photos of Abbie in her Halloween Jammies on Sunday and while she isn’t looking, I think they’re pretty cute.

I never really used to be into holiday pajamas since they’re so seasonal… but they’re too cute to pass up. Who cares if she’ll be wearing Halloween jammies in February? They’re still cute.

I picked these up at Old Navy and can I just say that I’m in shock that I had to buy her 5T?!? Girlfriend is crazy tall and doesn’t really fill them out, but the 4Ts just aren’t long enough. Hopefully she’ll grow into them. I’m now on the hunt for some cute Christmas jammies… and maybe some Hannukah ones if I can find them. Can’t let Christmas have all the fun in our interfaith household!

Oh, and while I’m talking about Halloween, don’t forget about the costume linkup coming on Monday! I hope you join us!

  1. So cute! You can say the boo is a term of endearment for your loved one when she wears them on Valentine’s Day ;). And we have to size up in pjs too! I just find they make them so tight if you get their normal size!

  2. Adorable jammies! I didn’t buy any for Halloween. Christmas is a whole different story though. Glad she’s feeling better. Sick babies are the worst. Breaks my heart.

  3. I love those PJs they are so cute!!! Callie is on a super anti anything at bedtime. She boycotted PJs in the spring and by the end of summer boy cotted nightgowns so she’s just sleeping in undies (which is pretty cute and maybe I should buy some holiday ones!). I so so so so feel you on tall kids! Callie can barely wear 5T from anywhere (even places like gymboree that run big!) so I’ve started looking for places that have little girl sizes and they run just a little bigger than the “T” stuff. I can still get her some 5s but in pants we’re totally moving into the 6s. I hear Hannah Anderson runs long but they are pricey. We are trying some of their pants from a zulilly sale. Next stop for me is the boys section! Tall girls is hard stuff!!!

  4. So stinking cute! I totally dropped the ball on Halloween jammies this year. TOO MUCH GOING ON. Ugh. I’m hoping maybe I can dig some of Mac’s old jammies from last year out for Mim, at least!
