Our Fourth of July

Happy Friday friends! Summer is flying by and I can’t believe we’re already over halfway through the year! I want to get back to sharing more of our everyday, so what better way to do that than sharing our Independence Day?

We spent the afternoon with my in-laws and got in some time at the pool. Ella still isn’t completely thrilled with it, but she was a good sport. Abbie, as usual, had a blast and preferred the kiddie pool to the big pool.

Ella’s suit is from Target’s Cat and Jack line and I just couldn’t resist it. Those ruffles are the cutest! Abbie’s is from Old Navy last year – I much prefer two piece suit for her so I can buy different sizes if I need to – and I often need to since she’s so tall and thin.

After that, it started to rain, so we headed in, and Abbie helped my mother-in-law make cookies. She loves helping, but never eats the cookies she helps make. None of us get it, but I guess this is just her being picky – and being four.

The only thing I want on any holiday is photos of all of us, and photos of my girls together. Thankfully, they cooperated… even if Abbie was holding Ella a bit too tight.

I hope you had an amazing Independence Day!
