Our Weekend!

Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  We had a great one…but once again I didn’t take enough pictures.  I really need someone to remind me to take them during the weekend!

Friday night was pretty low-key – just tried to get some cleaning done around the house.  It’s so hard to get cleaning done with a little one who doesn’t like to nap!

Saturday morning started with our Weight Watchers meeting….where I earned my 10% keychain!  If you’re not familiar with WW, this means I’ve lost 10% of my body weight since starting back on program in December.  I’m planning on doing a post with the actual numbers later in the week (I know, a little scary to share the numbers), but this was such a great start to the day!

After the meeting, I went home and Chris headed off to help his brother move the family’s storage to a smaller, closer unit.  They dropped by afterward…to see Abbie too.

That evening was my cousin Donna’s baby shower in Richmond.  I didn’t end up going, even though I really wanted to be there.  After Abbie had a meltdown on the way back from Nichole’s bridal shower last weekend, I knew I couldn’t have her in the car for so long in such a short period of time (Richmond is a 2 hour drive, so 4 hours round trip.)  I was super close with Donna growing up, so I was disappointed I wasn’t there, but it just wasn’t right for Abbie.  My mom and I will take a day trip to go see her and the baby once she arrives in September.

Since I didn’t go to the shower, Chris and I had a date night!  Chris’ friend Aimee volunteered to babysit while we went out for our friend Megan’s birthday at Sakura.  I was really nervous since Abbie’s been having so much trouble with waking at night lately, but everything went well.  I put Abbie down about 7:45 and we were at dinner right around 8.  We got home just after 10.  Once I got over my initial nervousness, it was nice to be out to dinner – we hadn’t done that since our anniversary!

Sunday we had some friends of ours over and went to the pool…where I only took pictures and video of my own baby.

Why can’t I remember to take more pictures?!  We had tons of food, including a fabulous salad Steph told me about – my friend Angela can’t eat sugar or grain, and I wanted to make sure there were things she could eat.  We loved it, and I took the leftovers for lunch today.

How was your weekend?
