Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are enjoying your week. We’re slowly returning back to normal around here following the blizzard, and today I’m sharing my January Stitch Fix! If you’re not familiar with Stitch Fix, check out the bottom of the post, but for now, let’s get to it!
For this fix, I had asked Darla for a few things – a few dress options for our work party (which was cancelled due to Snowzilla), anything Liverpool since I adore my bootcut jeans from them, and a navy cardigan if she could find one. Well, there’s a reason Darla’s the best – she delivered on everything I asked for!
41Hawthorn Rocco 3/4 Sleeve Faux Wrap Dress – XL – $78.00
This was my first dress option for the party. It was a really nice material and hung well on me. It was simple, and I did like the cut of it. While I was wearing it, I felt it was too low cut, but looking at the photos it seems just right. It was a good option for the party… if we had it! Since the event was cancelled and I didn’t otherwise need a new dress, I returned this one. Verdict: Returned.
Brixon Ivy Katharina Dress – XL – $88.00
This was my second dress option, and I wasn’t thrilled with the cut of it. It seemed like a fancy shirtdress, and I just felt it wasn’t me. I did like the gold detail, and it hung nicely, but this was an easy one to send back, especially since the party was cancelled. Verdict: Returned.
Loveappella Evie Draw String Funnel Neck Sweatshirt – XL – $64.00
This was my surprise item – Darla mentioned she sent it my way since I love Loveappella as a brand and this is a popular piece. When I tried it on, I didn’t love the way the pattern looked on me, and I thought it was a bit thin. It was really soft, but for a sweatshirt I want it to be thicker, especially for the price. I also thought it was way too short, so I sent this one back too. Verdict: Returned.
41Hawthorn Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan – XL – $48.00
Next up, Darla found me this cardigan in navy. To be honest, I didn’t love this when I first tried it on. It was a bit thinner than I expected and I was fully expecting to send it back. Then I tried it on again to take photos, and I decided I loved it! I really like the way it hangs in the front since it’s so flattering, and I am in need of a navy cardigan. While I wish it was a little thicker for the price, I kept it anyway – the time it saves me to keep this versus having to shop makes it worth it. Verdict: Kept!
Liverpool Collen Straight Leg Jean – 14P – $78.00
Finally, Darla sent me a pair of straight leg jeans from Liverpool. I really liked these, but I’m not sure why she sent a 14 versus a 12 – I wear a 12 in the bootcut ones I have and they fit perfectly. These fit, but were falling down and just weren’t going to work. Since I don’t need another pair of jeans, I didn’t request a size exchange, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for a similar pair, and I may request these again. Verdict: Returned.
All in all, this was a great fix! Darla is the best stylist I’ve had (hi Darla!) and I hope I get to keep her a long time! She continually checks my Pinterest, listens to my notes, and has a good grasp of what I do and don’t like while still pushing me out of my comfort zone. Now to wait impatiently for next month’s fix!

I got a stitch fix this month too and got the same cardigan but a different color! It was the only thing I kept as well too. And I posted all about it today as well… Too funny!
Too funny! Now we (sort of) match!
I think I would likely live in that sweatshirt if it was mine lol. Love that cardigan, it’s perfect.
It was comfy, but just not long enough. And I’ve worn the cardigan SO many times – it was definitely the right decision to keep it!
Oh I really liked the outfit with the cardigan and dark jeans on you. If you had a pair that fight right it would be the perfect outfit. I have yet to try stitch fix but I want to now!
You should definitely give it a few tries! It’s been amazing for me, not only giving me a new wardrobe but way more confidence in how I dress. If you want tips just let me know!
That’s a great fix! I loved the black dress, but if you don’t have a place to wear it anymore than I wouldn’t have kept it either. I really like the sweatshirt, but I agree that if I’m going to have a sweatshirt I want it thicker. Love the cardigan you kept!! Great choice!
Thanks so much!
I love all your pieces! I think both dresses look good on you, but I totally understand the feeling of being self conscious. If you don’t love it, send it back. I do love that sweatshirt though and might ask for one for me, but it is a bit pricey for a sweatshirt. LOVE that cardigan you kept!
Exactly – I’m trying to be much more intentional with my choices nowadays! Versatile and LOVE are the name of the game!
Great fix!
That first dress was cute! Sad that your party was botched due to Snowzilla!
Loving that cardi you kept, too!!
They’ve rescheduled it though, so now I get to request spring-y dresses!
I think I got that same cardigan in my last fix except it was orange! Fun times 🙂 me likey!
Haha, it’s a popular one I think!
Love the cardigan; that cold looks great on you! And I am totally requesting Darla for my next fix!
Did you request Darla? I saw your next fix was much better!
I love that black and gold dress! I think it looks great on you. And that first dress…va va voom! You look smoking hot in that! Love the cardigan you kept. I’m not a big fan of that gray sweatshirt – I keep seeing it on SF reviews, but it looks just like a hoodie I have from Target. I wish it was longer and a more fun color.
You are too sweet! And yes on the sweatshirt… definitely not worth that price tag!
I do love that black dress on you. I think you’ll love the weight of that sweater when you can still wear it into spring! Thanks for sharing!
I’ve worn the cardigan SO much – definitely a great piece!
