Thanksgiving is my favorite.

It seriously is, but once again a major picture fail.  I hope all of you had as wonderful a Thanksgiving as I did, and Chris and I really took full advantage of our four days off – it’s probably the last long weekend we’ll have to ourselves in a while!

We spent Thanksgiving at my parents and got there shortly after the beginning of the parade, which I adore and watch every year without fail.  Chris doesn’t quite get my family’s obsession, but that’s ok.  Thankfully, BB gave me plenty of time to eat stuffing, so I’m fully set for her to come out whenever she wants now!

We didn’t go Black Friday shopping crazy early in the morning, but I always like to go at like 10 or 11 am and see what all the crazies left behind – occasionally you can still get good deals that late, and we scored a new electric razor for Chris at $20 off – thanks Target! (P.S. I HAVE to get better at taking pictures of things.)

Saturday we spent watching college football together, and in one of the most nerve-wracking games I’ve watched this year, the Hokies beat UVA for the 9th straight year!  It wasn’t a pretty win, but I’ll take it – and it means the 20th consecutive year we are bowl eligible.  I adore my school, even when we’ve had a tough season.  They fought hard and never stopped playing, and I’m so proud to be a Hokie!

Sunday I faced the inevitable truth that work was starting the next day, and I finished wrapping all our holiday presents – we are officially done!  My goal was to have everything done and wrapped by Thanksgiving, and it was done on Sunday, so I think we did pretty well!  We’re also done with birthday and wedding presents all the way through February, so the next present we have to buy is our anniversary gifts at the end of February.  I’m so relieved to have it all done – there’s a lot of winter events in our families!

Now that we’re past Thanksgiving and the holidays are almost here, I know it’s only a matter of time before BB picks her birthday.  Chris is already willing her to come out but I have faith she’s staying put for a while longer and really don’t think she’ll arrive before her due date.  Only 16 days until she’s due!

Oh and a big congratulations to my good friend Laura who welcomed her daughter on Sunday!  She’s beautiful!
