This weekend went by way too fast, and I’m sure that’s going to be the norm until we move. Seriously, all we can think about around here is our impending move, the house, packing…it’s hectic. On top of that, this strong-willed toddler of ours continues to be, well, strong-willed. I’ve said it before, but we are really in for it when she’s a teenager. Girlfriend likes to do things her OWN way.
Saturday morning after Weight Watchers (I was down a pound!), we headed over to Costco… nothing too eventful, except for me resisting the frozen yogurt. I LOVE swirled frozen yogurt, so score one for me. Abbie loves stores, so she had a blast looking around at everything. We took a walk in the afternoon and Abbie was fascinated by the fountains in the shopping plaza across the street.
Sunday we headed down to my parents for the day, and Abbie was naturally spoiled with attention by my parents and sisters. Some of my favorite memories are of my grandparents, so I love seeing my family play with Abbie. Even though she won’t remember these times yet, it’s so important to me that she knows them and they are a big part of her life.
With that, this is our last “normal” week before the move. We’re still on track to close next Wednesday (in only 9 days! Ah!), and we’ve been packing away every night once Abbie’s in bed. Next week I’ve got a few appointments plus that weekend is Labor Day already, and then we move the week after! It is absolutely insane to me how fast all of this is happening! We’re currently waiting to hear back from the seller on our inspection list, so fingers crossed he gets everything done we asked for.
How was your weekend? Have any packing and moving tips for me?
