I seriously never know what to title these weekend posts! I hope you all had a great one!
Our weekend started early on Friday – we each took a half day to head down to Occoquan for our family pictures with Mathy Shoots People! We had such a good time (Abbie was really good), and I can’t wait to see how they turn out. We actually had perfect weather – it was about 60 degrees out and slightly cloudy. It started raining just as we were leaving, so we really lucked out! It wasn’t raining when we got home, so we went for a quick wagon ride.
Then Daddy decided Abbie should wear her Redskins gear while she was cooking something up in her kitchen. (It’s pictures like these that make me glad we pierced her ears…definitely shows she’s a girl!) I ran to the grocery store late Friday night after Abbie was in bed. Sometimes I like going late since it’s so empty!
We started Saturday off with our Weight Watchers meeting (where I lost 2.4 pounds!), then breakfast at Amphora. We got Abbie some french toast…and she LOVED it. Girl after my own heart.
After we got home and Abbie got settled down for a nap, I headed to see Catching Fire with my friend Erin for mom’s day out. We failed at taking a picture together…but I did take a picture of the newly renovated theater seats…they had recliners.
It. Was. Amazing. It was seriously the most comfortable I’ve ever been in a movie theater….plus the movie was awesome! Now to wait for Mockingjay.
I came home to this silly face and we had a quiet evening at home.
Sunday morning started with coffee in my squirrel mug, a Target trip, and a nap for Abbie.
We spent the rest of the day playing, napping some more, and cooking up some spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread.
Plus cupcakes. Basically, a perfect Sunday.
Plus, today’s a special day – I want to take a second to wish my friend Laura’s daughter M a very happy first birthday!!!
I’m sad to see the weekend go, but I’m so glad it’s a short week. I’m so excited for Thanksgiving! How was your weekend?
Linking up with Sami!
