Hey everyone! I hope you had a fabulous weekend…mine was eventful to say the least. I mentioned on Friday that Abbie was FINALLY feeling better from her cold, and Friday night I caught a few cute pictures of Abbie playing with Grammie and Grampy…
Saturday morning I got up bright and early, leaving Abbie with Chris, to head down to Richmond, then Virginia Beach for Nichole’s Bachelorette party. You may have seen my tweet from Saturday and ensuing convo with Jess…
Yep, the normal 2 hour drive to Richmond took me 3 and a half hours. Needless to say, I was ready to get out of the car when I got there. From there, we headed to New Kent to pick up Andrea (the maid of honor to my matron), who planned the bachelorette. She put together these adorable gift boxes for us.
While we were driving to the beach, Chris called me in a panic – Abbie was throwing up, and he didn’t know what to do. I tried to calm him down…but ended up having to turn around and head back. I hated having to leave before the bachelorette party even started, but Nichole told me that she had a good time (they went to a pole dancing class, then on a dinner cruise). Sick baby had to come first! Once I got home, she was throwing up less and we got her to sleep…but she woke up a few times during the night. I’m not sure if it was a continuation of what she had during the week or a stomach bug, but she was much better by morning. Sick babies are no fun! (Neither is driving up and down the entire state of Virginia in one day…I was in the car for 9 hours on Saturday.)
It’s a good thing she was feeling better by Sunday, because we had already planned for my parents to come up for the afternoon/evening so Abbie could see all of her grandparents at once! Getting this picture was a battle – I think Abbie just wanted to get back to bedtime all day! She wasn’t quite 100% but I’m hoping she’ll get there this week.
How was your weekend?
Linking up with Sami today!

But… Brownie Brittle IS AMAZING. So there’s also that 😉
I have never had brownie brittle, that looks great. The photo album is so awesome. I love that. Driving for 9 hours in one day is horrible. Glad you made it through!
awww you’re a good mommy, that sounds like such an awful day being stuck in the car for that long! I would have been going bananas! Glad abbie is feeling better and it wasn’t anything too serious

glad she’s feeling better. That picture is awesome! what a treasure! That is motivating me to take one of Z’s grandparents together – we usually split it up but I love this!
