Halloween Costume Linkup

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous Halloween with your families – isn’t it fun when it falls on a weekend?

Abbie and I went trick or treating in our neighborhood for a little while, but she got bored pretty quickly… and of course, wouldn’t say “Trick or Treat!” even though she’d been saying it all day long prior to that. That’s toddlers for you… never doing things at the right time!

Anyway, it’s time for the Halloween costume linkup and I’m so excited to see all your little ones in costume! I saw so many over the weekend on Facebook and Instagram, and you know I’ll be squirreling all these ideas away for next year, when I hope Abbie is a BIT more enthusiastic about the whole thing. So without further ado, here’s our little Tinkerbell!

My sweet mother-in-law made Abbie’s costume, and I LOVE how it turned out! I’m so thankful she can sew, because my sewing skills basically consist of sewing buttons back on and sewing straight lines. I wish I had the time to know more… but I’m pretty thankful to have a sewer in the family.

Abbie was a bit unsure about the whole thing… and it was a struggle to get her to keep her wings on. Once we got outside, she was much better about it and barely noticed. Halloween can be a bit unpredictable here weather-wise, so I was glad to have a costume I could layer things under – she was wearing both tights and leggings, as well as a long sleeved shirt – I didn’t want her to have to wear a coat so that was important! Luckily the rain held off until the end of the night too, so we were able to have fun before coming home to greet our own trick or treaters.

Now show me your costumes! Can’t wait to see them, and don’t forget to use the hashtag #COSTUMEPTY15 so we can see all the fun!

  1. Connor loves Tinkerbell and I had no clue he knew who she was but thanks to the original Peter Pan he does. We saw her out trick or treating he was so excited. Abbie looks so sweet in her costume.
