Why, hello there, 16 weeks! I’m so happy to see you!
How far along? 16 Weeks!
Size of baby: About 4.6 Inches and 3.5 ounces – an avocado!
General Thoughts/Feelings/Mood: I really feel fairly normal. I do get out of breath more easily, and I’m hungry more often, but that’s about it.
Food Aversions: Fish of any kind sounds pretty awful right now.
Food Cravings: Give me all the carbs.
Health/Fitness: I feel okay. I’ve mostly been getting all my steps in and am maintaining close to the same weight for the past few weeks.
Doc Appointments: I don’t go back until Tuesday, so nothing new here.
Symptoms: Nasal congestion up the wazoo. I was fighting a pretty bad cold as a result of it last week, but the congestion has stayed. I don’t know what I’d do without my Breath Again roll-on.
Sleep: Pretty good except for the waking up to pee.
Movement? Yep! Not consistent, but I usually feel her about an hour after my morning orange juice on the way to work. Other than that, it’s just random.
Gender: Sweet baby GIRL! She does already have a name, but we’re keeping it to family only, at least for now.
Maternity Clothes: Oh of course. I really need to find some more work tops.
Miss Anything? Not waking up to pee at night.
Baby Items Purchased: Two girly colored Solly wraps from a resale group. I just couldn’t help myself!
Best Moments So Far: Unrelated to this baby, but Abbie being about 90% potty trained! We had a breakthrough at daycare on Friday and she’s been doing really well since. I’m so proud of her… and thankful for the few months of reprieve from diaper changing.
Most Unexpected Moment So Far: Abbie insisting baby was a sister for ages. She just knew, and it’s so crazy!
Looking Forward To: My sister Melanie’s college graduation tonight! I know, totally not pregnancy related. Fun fact – I was pregnant with Abbie when she graduated from high school!
Abbie: Is crazy. She knows baby sister’s name and is already calling her by it. I went to the grocery store alone the other week and she asked Chris where Mommy and (baby’s name) were. So sweet! I’m hoping this is an easy adjustment for her, but we’ll see. I’m starting to work on her new room since she’ll be moving into a new room and baby girl will go into her nursery – this way Abbie gets an awesome new space and we don’t have to move the nursery furniture, just paint. Mom win.

You have turned the corner and now look pregnant. I remember being in that funky stage of is she pregnant or just chubby?! It was refreshing to finally be pregnant looking.
Ha, some days I look more pregnant than others… and I definitely look more pregnant at night than in the morning. I’m definitely accentuating it now rather than hiding it… I don’t want any confusion!!!
