How Far Along? 28 Weeks! 3rd Trimester!!! I can’t believe I’m actually so far along already!
Weight Gain? I think still around 23 pounds. I haven’t weighed myself in a while and I don’t go back to the OB until next Thursday.
Size of Baby? Head of cauliflower! 16 inches or so and about 2 ½ pounds!
Maternity Clothes? Are my best friends.
Stretch Marks? Still there.
Gender? Well, I’m no longer going to put my guess here….read below!
Sleep? Pretty good. I’ve been waking up to pee and just randomly, but can usually fall back asleep pretty easily.
Food Cravings? None!
Symptoms? Holy heartburn and my ankles are the size of softballs by the end of the day.
Movement? More and more each day. Chris has now felt BB moving a couple of times, and loves it.
Belly Button? Innie, but definitely getting wider and shallower (is that a word, shallower?)
Wedding rings on or off? Cheapo ring is still on.
Labor signs? Nope, thank goodness!
Best Moment of the Week? PASSING MY GLUCOSE TEST! You guys, I seriously thought I was guaranteed to fail – my mom was gestational with 3 out of 4 pregnancies, diabetes runs on both sides of my family, and I was overweight when I got pregnant…but somehow I passed! I’m so excited because this means I can definitely eat as much as I want come Thanksgiving…and no one can say anything about it! (and yes, I am already excited about Thanksgiving – it’s my favorite holiday) Also, I had my follow-up ultrasound this morning to check the location of my placenta, and it’s sufficiently moved out of the way for BB’s arrival!
What I Miss? Nothing right now – I’m pretty content.
What I am looking forward to: My friend Katie’s wedding this weekend – my last wedding before BB is born!
So, on the gender thing…as you all know, Chris and I had decided to wait to find out BB’s gender until he/she made an appearance…
But we both got impatient. Since I had a follow-up ultrasound to check my placenta location anyway, we decided to take advantage of it and find out BB’s gender…so we now know – but you can’t yet! We’ve decided to tell our parents, but will be keeping it a secret until my baby shower in November. I’m so excited for all of you to find out, but you’ll have to wait just a few more months! I’m happy we found out, but also glad we had a few months extra of surprise. If I hadn’t had a second ultrasound, we probably would have waited…but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity!
Not a great picture, but a bump picture nonetheless!
